Alright my bowl smells awful, much worse than most pieces. It's becaused it got stashed in a bag of weed + resin and didn't get ashed out for a long time and i dont know it just smells awful, much worse than any other pieces I've had. I want to boil it, because I've heard it completely takes all the resin and smell out, makes it almost new. Will this stink my whole house up? And also to boil it would I just treat it like a hot dog? Boil some water and drop it in there?
other than regular ways....how else do you clean a pipe? i'm really curious. pipe cleaners and alcohol, boiling....what else?
Here's my patented lazy stoner method. Find a jar that fits your biggest piece. Go get a few bottles of alcohol and fill the jar. Then just rotate your pieces through. I have 4-5 pipes, so, at any given time, there are a few sitting in rubbing alcohol. If you soak them for a few days, they rinse very clean under hot water. No scrubbing work and not a chance of cracking yoour piece from the heat. Its all about letting it soak. Also, tie a piece of floss to the pipe and hang it over the side of the jar so you don't have to go fishing around in the alcohol. Of course this only works if you have more than one piece, which you should. Cheers
Goof Off strips the shit out of the resin and tar, but its exspensive and harsh. Really, theres a reason most people use rubbing alcohol.
if its glass i suggest you dont boil it or u run the risk of braking it. when i clean my pipe i heat up some water in the microwave till its like just at boiling point submerge ur pipe in there for like 30 mins scrub the bowl part with a rag to get all the res out of there . you can submerge it like a couple more times if you want and try like rinsing it out with the hot water from the tap cuz hot water loosens up the resin so it might wash some out. this doesnt it get it smelling brand new it will still smell like weed a litlle but for the most part it works for me hope that helped
When my friend boiled his piece he said the entire house reaked afterward, and he got caught by his mom this way.
they sell this stuff at most headshops called formula 420 and it works like a charm. Also if you boil it it will smell a little and just let it cool down in the pot of water. When a piece cracks its from cooling too fast. Aka setting a hot pipe on a cool countertop could cause it to happen.
thanks for the help guys. this is why i don't smoke from my glass too often. cause using pipecleaners and shit takes so long. also i just have a standard glass piece, so right underneath the bowl lots of bits of weed collects and then gets covered in tar. i'm going to try this stuff soon. thanks guys.
RUBBING ALCOHOL if you boil it it will be like airborne bong water, like anthrax, only stinkier i think.
If you plug all the wholes, and put rubbing alchohol in it and pour in some salt then shake it a lot that works good enough.
So much help guys Thanks alot. I just saw a nice big bottle of 420 solution at a hippy shop by my house so I might buy it. And yea my friend just told me when he boiled his piece it made his apartment room smell for over an hour.
