general grow questions

hey, me and a freind are trying to put something together to start growin a personal supply, and i was wondering if you guys had any good ideas, we were planning on growing just a couple plants in my closet, but we dont know what we should use, or how to set it up. what type of lights should we use, wattage? kind? and where can i find these lights in the city? and what kind of soil should we buy, shoulld we put nutrients in the soil, as you can tell we are beginers and are going to try something new, any help is great thanks

 

The best advice is to get a good grow book. Read that bad boy cover to cover. Then you can properly plan your room and have everything in advance.

You can pick them up pretty cheaply used.
