They shouldn't state that marijuana is bad OR good for depression. It entirely depends on the person, their are those who benefit from smoking when they are feeling down and their are those who do not. I think its stupid to give a definite answer/trend to a such a thing.

Yeah it's definitely not for everyone. I know it's worked wonders for my depression though.

Oh well.....what are you gonna do? It's a white house report; of course it's gonna support the marijuana laws, in a totally biased way.

first of all, the article is bullshit. i mean i suppose for some people its possible to worsen depression because they smoke and dwell on their problems the entire time. in that case it makes them more depressed for the time being. i've had that happen to me before by accident and it's happened to a few of my friends a couple times. but the fact of it always worsening depression in everyone is complete bullshit. even when it does for some people, it's only for the time being and it's not a regular occurance. second of all, why is the picture of some dude smoking a black n mild? haha

Yes it all depends on the person. If someone has depression problems or anything like that, that has yet to show its self..marijuana can uncover that. Its never brought me anything but happynes... People will believe the biggest bullshit.

Its not its a J with a white cardboard crutch in the end. If you look carefully you can see through the paper and the inners of the J are green.

As for the study sure pot isnt going to help depression for all people just like antidepressant pills dont help depression for all people.

I was suicidal as a kid, preteen and teen. now I'm not. they put you on crappy pills that make you puke, gain/ lose weight, more suicidal, and pot works good-great for a lot of people.

it makes me want to cry, because it isn't the pot thats the problem, its the depression. WHY are kids in school depressed and looking for solutions not offered by parents?

I think they misunderstand the causality too. I don't think marijuana causes future mental illness; I think the people who tend to smoke marijuana also tend to be open-minded / weird / different enough from society that they often get labeled with something psychological in their later years.

The cause for both the weed smoking and the psychiatric conditions is personality imo.

And people say CNN is slanted Left. lol

I hate how articles pull facts out of estimates.

"Although the report from the Office of National Drug Control Policy notes that use of the drug among teenagers has dropped by 25 percent in the past seven years, it emphasizes that more teens use marijuana than all other illegal drugs combined."
