that's really an animalistic way to look at things.

rational way of looking at man kinds continued survival?

it seems like your only purpose for survival is survival itself. How is that human?

Just cos something may be overrated doesn't make it a bad thing. As for the government having plans on who to save etc,, since when has the American government been concerned with humanity as anything other than a commodity anyway.

The fact that they 'agree with you' on this, as you put it, only furthers my belief that it is wrong.

That's cool. I actually enjoy opinionated discussion. As regards being one of the sheeple, as you so eloquently put it, I'm not the one who is letting world politics dictate the direction of my life.

Leading up to World War II Hitler had his own eugenics program in which the mentally ill, the old and infirm, and homeless children, were put to death by the tens of thousands to eliminate what the party refered to as “the useless eaters”

Over 300,000 were injected with Phenol - is this what you’re proposing?

Im curious now though. You, HHB, dont like the way the American gov is operating, yet would operate in much the same way, with that law. Odd.

    your comparing apples to oranges..
just because i have the same opinion of this government when it comes to a pandemic in NO way correlates into my agreeing with the rest of there policies including but not limited to, the war in iraq, the propping up of the Israeli state, the massive amount of foreign aid sent to the lesser of the world and the welfare programs in our own country that allow useless eaters who contribute nothing useful to society to exist while the nation is drowning in a debt our childrens childrens children will never be able to pay off..

HHB as usual you sir, are a genius. I believe in a totally reciprocal society. You only are allowed to take out what you put in. And when you no longer serve a purpose you should be mercifully and humanely removed from genpop.

It's the Thumpers who will stand in our way. Silly superstitions...

To equate meek with weak is an assumption based on one's personal perceptions and/or experience with so-called meek people. Your definition of meek isn't necessarily everyone else's definition.

Gandhi was meek. I don't believe anyone would dare call him weak.

When dinosaurs finally got so big and powerful they keeled over, of their own weight, it was proto-mammals who took over the planet. Wee mouselike critters.

If there's any part of the ecosystem that's impervious to extinction, it's the bottom of the food chain.

that being said,it still takes the ability and wherewithal to provide for ones self to inherit anything..

so if what your implying is do i believe the severely mentally ill,the severely crippled, and the frail elderly will inherit the earth?

well one things for sure,if they do, they are sure to be extinct in no time at all..

what was it Nietzsche said on the subject??

" Firstly, we must reject the errors of the nihilistic Christian faith. We reject the belief that the meek will inherit the earth. We reject pity. We reject weakness. We reject the power of the mass. We stand alone, ready for war and destruction, to destroy that which has proven to be illusory and keep both feet on earth. There is no platonic transcendence beyond this world, no objective truth to release man from his earthly existence and become divine - there is no God that promises us a better life.

Secondly, we must understand the age of nihilism. We mustn't fear it. On the contrary, we ought to celebrate it and worship it as the process in which the false idols slowly fade away, thus leaving room for us to create new values and new idols. These idols will be our guiding star for future generations, which thanks to our belief in overcoming nihilism, will continue to uphold the noble virtues of life-affirmation and life celebration.

Thirdly, we must leave the passive state of being human and overcome ourselves; we must follow our will to power and strive to become Overmen. We do this by learning how to cope with our inner Dionysus and channel the destructive powers into pure creativity. This can only be done if we possess these Dionysian powers."

oh and BTW,,im not a Christian so asking me that question is a bit comical to me... ;)

Wow, HHB, you are really something. I suppose under your law you would be the one to decide who was pulling their own weight enough to be allowed to live.

I personally think that caring for each other and compassion are things that give us our humanity, that separate us from animals. Basically, though, you seem to think we are just animals.

No wonder older people on HF are considered to be arrogant asshole douche bags.

My husband just got laid off from his job, and I just had a baby three weeks ago. I can't go back to work yet. Government programs like WIC and the help of family and friends has been a godsend to us. Everyone needs a helping hand now and then. And there is nothing wrong with getting help if you need it.

my own family has benefited from programs like that when I was about a year old and my dad got layed off.

we got some money for a couple months, he had to attend some classes on employement and job hunting. He eventually found a job, and has since been a contributing member of society for 18 years.

apparently he should have been executed though...

i have never said if one chose to help they couldnt, i however dont feel the government should aid in any way.. if ya need help from the government payin for the baby then i guess ya were not as financially ready to have said child as you thought? its called "personal responsibility",,what a concept huh? the government was never intended to be a saftey net...

you know its funny the same people that think im all horrible are probably for euthanasia, for living wills with a do not resuscitate clause,, if they had amniocentesis when finding out they were pregnant(which i personally feel should be mandatory,if ya cant afford it ya shouldnt be havin the kid) and found out there child would be severely handicapped i would wager they would choose not to have said child..

if these things alone were made law a large part of what i propose would already be voluntarily acted upon..

its a bit strange to me how people think there views differ so greatly when in reality they are closer aligned than they would care to admit..

and i tell you what if someone wants to think im a asshole because my views on life and death differ from theres,,thats there right.

as for me, i will not fall in line with the masses just to be liked or accepted..

now as i said once before in this thread, all continuing on from this point will do is serve to antagonize the sheeple, therefore im going to bow out gracefully and hopefully someone will be adult enough to continue on with the original topic of this thread..

yall have a great evening... :)

I have no problem with euthanasia, DNRs or abortion, as long as they're voluntary. Government ordered-not so much.

Oh, and you don't get to decide when I should stop commenting on your ideas-I do.

And don't tell me what kind of evening to have. ;)
