    Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum but a long time Amsterdam fan
I'm planning to go to the dam in August and September (at least for those two months) and was hoping to able to finance this trip by playing guitar in amsterdam as a street musician.
I was wondering if there are any restrictions/laws concerning street musicians in A'dam (where I come from you have to get a liscence that costs way to much). How do other street musicians react when people play at "their spot", and how are my chances earning some money this way? (I'm gonna stay at a camping site for about 8e / night)
I'm also going there in May for a "testing week"... so if anybody's interested in a meet and smoke up just tell me...

sorry for my bad english, its not my native language...

I believe you do need a permit which does cost a little. Check at Amsterdam city hall in Waterlooplein for permit info. There a couple of rules such as only playing in one spot by the cafes for no more than about 20 minutes before you must move on to a different area.
