so my girlfriend had all the dreadheadhq stuff and ive been wanting dreads for a while so last week we backcombed it. i love how it looks... however now that ive found this website im getting nervous on the whole dreadheadhq thing? why would they have you use wax if its bad? ive already stopped using the wax (just put it in once after backcombing). will my dreads keep locking and looking better?

also... ive been using that powder stuff (lock peppa or something). is that stuff worth it or is it just lame or do you not know what im talking about? lol. thanks in advance for your help... this site stinkin rocks for dread-curious peeps...

    yes exacly
see 1st they sell the lie that ya need a product then they sell ya a harmful product ya dont need
    purely proffit driven ..

its the buy yoir dreads from us mentalurty they thrive on..dreads arent about buying a style ..theyre about accepting a lifestyle..

thinik about it whatdo u need to dread... throw away your comb and stop using residue shampoo

what do they sell u for 79 $ a comb and the thickest gunkiest hardest to get rid of residue of all

    quite a scam huh?

insta dreads that ya get so sick of in a year u chop and start over...and if you dont learn the right way ya repeat the mistakes

Out of Knottyboy and DreadheadHQ, Knottyboy is the cleaner of the two. That Lock Peppa crap is just what soaring eagle said, dandruff.

I used wax about 2 times from K-Boy, once when I back combed then once around 3 months but I didn't gob it on. Just to make sure the loosehairs find their way back to the main locks, now all I use is Tightening Gel to keep frizzies down every once in a while.

I find if you don't overdo it and have candles on your head, you'll be golden. The only thing I regret is not starting my locks thicker and getting lazy around month 2 and not rolling the dreads in the back of my head, now they're all lumpy and stuff. But I'm waiting it out.

the only thing that dreads need is time.
    time can not be purchased
