Copycats could equal trouble?

i've got a bit of a problem atm. how big, idk.
so, i have been doing graffiti since i was about twelve. since then i have got pretty good, but that is besides the point.
i'v been living in two diff cities for a while, and only do graff in one.
well, since i have been back, my name(does2 duh) has been showing up everywhere in the town i don't do it in! a lot of people have been approaching me and asking whether or not i did it, as it was not up to my par.
so could someone be planning on framing me or just trying to 'deface' my name?

go back to the city you 1st defaced and clean up your fuckin mess and the problem will solve itself

 

i didn't ask to be personally attacked. it isn't not as if i run the streets randomly vandalazing people's homes.
in fact, i have been paid to do six walls, four in houses, and been asked to do numerous pieces.
you didn't have to be a jerk.

 

Graffiti is art, don't anyone tell you otherwise!

I'd bet someone is just copying you, sort of a weired kind of admiration. Theirs probably nothing more to it. But its sill wrong for someone else to sign your name, so I don't know what you should do about it.

The problem with graffiti "artists" is that only one in a thousand is actually an artist rather than a vandal.

In terms of the ratio of talent to slop, yes.

But while the existence of shitty poetry, paintings and novels might say something about humanity, they aren't scrawled across other people's property.

I personally think that Graffiti IS art and I love it. Some of it it's amazing, some of it sucks, just like any other form of art.

 

True, true. However, in otherwise grey urban sprawl, an occasional masterpiece can add colour to your day..

Graffiti is art for me.

For the record, all that "Mafia 666" and "Paul was here/Paul is a dick" stuff is not graffiti.

 

I love some graffiti, especially in industrial areas. I saw some pretty kick ass graffiti over in Barcelona too. Not wild about gang stuff or stupid tags, but some of the more painterly things add some spice

 

umm does2 is his signature,,not his art,,you know,, how a artist signs there paintings??? you know nothing about graffiti do you? geeze,anything to attack someone for doing something you dont agree with..
