Just a question and just to let everone know I love all types of dreads, but I have a question do u perfer natural go their own way dreads or do you perfer the more uniform ones? Also do you think the more iniform ones look too processed like everyone is starting to look alike?
i love natural and in particulat the individual dreads with the most individuality i knew a woman with a natural peace sign dread.. 1 split into 3 i loved it.. i love dreads tht have personality flat square crazy and loopy .. too uniform just looks manufactured ..and yes boring to a degree no personality..
i think natural looks waay better. imagine if everyone's locks looked alike. it would be like walking into a room where everyone is wearing the exact same clothes as you were. but to each their own...
I love naturals, but I think the backcombed or twist and rip dreads can turn out pretty nice (i like mine hhaha), I don't like the ones which are so uniform they're all the same, I think I'd be bored if mine were all the same
I love natural dreads because they will never be "perfect", same as in life. Once you can accept things for the way they are, you will be much happier!
I accept mine the way they are because they are all forming really differntly. They show who I am because alot of ppl where I live have the uniform looking dreads and they're really pretty but no individuality at all. I just wanted to see everyones thoughts
Natural>neglected backcombed>perfectly round maintained backcombed. But they're all nice. Last night I saw one of my dready friends who I haven't seen in a couple months. His dreads are perfectly round and thick and uniform in size and shape. and he was like "How are the dreads coming along. I see they're NOT." and I was like "They're not coming along perfectly round and constantly maintained like yours, but they're definitely there." Point being... dreads are dreads. I hate dread elitists that think natural/unmaintained dreads aren't "real" dreads. They're all beautiful.
yeah, he's kind of a dick, but i know him and I know he was saying that all in good fun. He's a good guy for the most part.
