I called my mom today because I havent talked to her in awhile and letting her know that I was in Ottawa and everything. I wrote her an email the other day and sent her some pictures.
I asked her about them and all she said "OMG you're so fat". I was also eating some cereal when I call her. That's all I've eaten today, plain cereal, no milk or anything and she was like "what are you eating? stop so much, you're so fat".
I know Im fattER, but Im not fat. My clothes are all size 2-4 and my mom is threating me like Im obese or something. Now Im hungry and there's nothing to eat here, at least nothing without meat and all I can order is Chinese and Pizza, actually only pizza because the Chinese place doesnt take my debit card and I have no cash. I have a headache and now feel bad about ordering pizza.
My mood is ultra blah. I cant breathe and I have no allergy medicine here. I My eyes are itchy. I have cramps (just got my period, to make my mood even better). This apt is like a sauna, I dont know what's up with the AC. I'm hungry and now I feel fat.

I know it's silly, but cant be smart all the time

Its a terrible thing to say for a mother.

Ha, the funny thing is that my mom does that too. Im always either too thin or too fat. Even though I only gain and lose 5-10 pounds

Sounds like If they made a movie it would be called Girth of a Nation [IMG]

Seriously though she probably feels guilty for eating something she shouldn’t have [IMG]

My mum and my exes mum used to always pick holes in our appearance while we were living to another country. Whenever we visited or sent photos, my ex was supposedly 'too skinny' or 'sick looking' or 'pale' and I was 'very unhealthy looking', 'aging terribly' or 'obviously not eating properly'.

It's a Mum's way of reassuring herself that there is no way that you can be living as well as you were while you were at home. And Mum always knows best.

If you're hungry, eat. Pizza sounds great. Afterwards, treat yourself to a nice glass of iced tea and retire to the sofa, or better yet the garden/balcony, to relax for a while.

After 11 years outside of Ireland, I have a lot of experience with this type of situation. It just means she misses you.

Anyway Iliana, I hope you enjoy your pizza and the rest of your day, I should really try to sleep. It's getting late and I need to get up in about 5 hours.

    Peace.:)

5-10 pounds doesn't push anybody from healthy to over or under-weight.

    Use it against her.

Make her give you a bunch of money so that you could go on some diet plan. Spend all the money on cocaine.

    Everyone will be happy :D

(That's the worst advice I've given in a while)

I like girls who are on the bigger side. Not like HUGE, but have a little extra.

So I see no problem here. I couldn't give you one of those personal stories, because I've never been called fat before.

    I've been called too skinny.

I'd cheerfully commit murder to be in a size 2-4.

    I have a good 1950's figure....:(
