No, we are going to support the Chinese Government with them keeping out aid. Does nothing for limiting damagages for the individual, only minimizes damages for the governments involved.

    I guess so.

Can't argue with our banker, can't we.

Thanks to Neoconservative Republicans beginning with Ronald Reagan up to this current clown we got in the white house, this government is broken, it's treasury is bankrupt and has turned this country into a fucking mess.

Uhm, Republican NeoConservative economics doesn't have anything to do with "lifting boats" and stuff.

Republican NeoConservative economics is basically similar to that of rape and plunder.

Burma is a disaster, I say as a rule of thumb no to foreign intervention, but if we did go into Burma I don't think I'd throw a fit. It depends on the circumstances of course.

I don't think that war is the answer, but is doing nothing the right answer? The junta there are doing horrible things.

The way the US goes about intervening in other countries business is totally not something that I believe in or support, but doing nothing certainly can't be the answer. I mean, do you think it is? How can we achieve world peace by letting crimes against humanities like the ones going on in Burma happen?

The Essex Amphibious Ready Group, along with 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is steaming to support potential humanitarian-assistance operations in the wake of Cyclone Nargis, which struck Burma May 1 and 2. Some estimates have put the death toll at more than 100,000. So far, the Burmese military government has allowed only one U.S. shipment of relief supplies.

“This is what we are here for,” Navy Chief Petty Officer Andres Carillo, of the USS Essex, said. “It’s our mission to help those in need.”

The amphibious readiness group includes the forward-deployed amphibious ships USS Essex, USS Juneau, USS Harpers Ferry and USS Mustin. The servicemembers are working to fill more than 14,000 5-gallon plastic water bladders with fresh water. In the event of humanitarian operations, the water could be loaded onto landing craft and helicopters to be distributed to those affected by the cyclone.

    WATER BOMBS? yippity....:hysterica
