Thank You For Posting This........Today Is Mothers Day Here In Australia........But I Did Not Create A Thread Here Cause I Was Not Sure How.......Or Even If... Other Countries Celebrated This Day..........I Was In Town At Lunchtime Getting Some Chinese Takeout........The Place Was Packed Out........As Were All The Dining Establishments In Town.......Families All Taking Their Mothers Out For Lunch........Or Ordering Boxes Of Takeout For A Hassle Free Family Get-together...... Today I Really Envied These People.............Here They Were....Having Lunch With Their Mom......... And I Had Earlier In The Morning......Taken A Simple Bunch Of Flowers To My Moms Grave..... It Makes No Difference Wether They Are Alive.......Or Have Passed On........ They Are Still Your Mom.... And You Love E'm....... Cheers Glen.
I love my mommy. I got her a full day spa voucher thingy... knowin her ass she'll prolly cash it and go shoe shopping.
every day is mother's day for me...today is no different than every other day... guess it is a nice thought...
I got my mom some beautiful earrings and some fantastic herbal teas when I was at the beach last weekend.
awww. thanks sweets. i've had a badass weekend. went to the hockey game with cj while dave babysat. had to come home early because he imbibed too much. dave went to get me a big mac, because i always crave a big mac when i'm drunk. he let me sleep in the next morning (saturday) and lovingly raped me later. then we went for breakfast and when we got home he cleaned the house and started laundry. later we went to a party, where there were dozens of happy babysitters. then we went to the roller derby. that was fucking awesome. a great band played at half time. i've found my people. they're at the roller derby. today we got up late and went for brunch. dave's dad showed up and brought me roses. i had an awesome omelette, then joey threw up all over me. thankfully i was able to duck through a door to the bathroom without anyone really seeing us coated in vomit. i was able to clean up tolerably well then fold my new skirt over enough that no one saw that it was puke stained. then i could duck out the back door instead of walking out through the restaurant by all those moms. awesome luck. both my girls have pink eye. thankfully joey took a nap. kai put her down for a nap for me. it was the cutest, sweetest thing i've ever seen. then we went around planting flower seeds and doing little gardening projects. dave and his dad went golfing, so it's been a quiet, gloriously warm, windless day for us girls. we cant' go to the park because joey still has a fever. and best of all, dave bought me a $200 spa day here in town. i just have to make my appointment and have dave sit the girls.
oh yeah, and dave and his mom got in a tiff on the phone. his sister had told her that dave was pissed with her because she never visits. so calls to wish her a happy mother's day and she's crying her eyes out. dave's dad was with us and he's laughing his ass off.
I wish I could've spent the day with my mom but I did have a long talk with her this morning that was very nice. We’ll probably drop down sometime though so I don’t feel too bad. It’s also my first mothers day as a mommy! I didn’t do anything too special, Brad let me sleep in and took Amber out then made a vegan cake for me… which was good and we jammed with a few friends for a while.
nothing says "mother's day" like being vomitted upon by ones baby and sitting with the kids while your husband golfs with his dad. *snicker* it's been so beautiful though.
I had dinner with my mom and dad, my sister and her family, and my grandparents and girlfriend was nice, several generations represented
