Homegrown

Hey I was wondering what is wrong with the homegrown bud. I mean the dealers can grow some amazing strains and everything. So how come it seems when Im with people that they look down on homegrown bud.

 

can't really help ya out.....nobodys ever looked down or turned down any homegrown i've shared...

 

I love getting homegrown stuff. I know everything about it, how it was grown, what was used for pest controll, what kind of fertilizers ect.... Usually if the grower knows what they are doing it blows commercial stuff out of the water too.

 

It could be that theres alot people out there that grow their own bud, but don't know how.

 

All the homegrown bud I've tasted is digusting :ack: I seriously can't smoke that stuff. Though that is the only bud I've ever tasted, since that is all you get out here. I stick with hash :H

homegrown is my favorite. that is if its not shitty. homegrown is such a vague description, it can be good as hell or bad. its just always nice to know how your bud was grown

Nahh, it's not just me. My mum hates the taste, and a load of my mates who smoke skunk in England say that its complete shite over here.

All bud is homegrown.. I mean since there are no commercial legal businesses growing bud, all bud comes from somewhere where someone learned to grow and grew "homegrown."
All the best medical marijuana in cali is homegrown and done very well by experienced growers. Though when its some punk kid that is 16 that just threw some seeds outdoors and came up with a few grams.. thats when homegrown gets a bad image.

 

Have you ever tasted Tenerife grass? Please don't insult people you don't know, especially if you're talking to their friend.

 

Not to invade on anything, but since when was calling someone ignorant an insult? Ignorant means that they don't know, not that they're stupid. I think they're just trying to say that your friends are making an assumption by saying homegrown bud is bad, when they're just judging it on a couple of bad experiences with it. Just because you got some bud and someone said it's homegrown, doesn't automatically make it bad or good. It's all according to the person growing it and if they know what they're doing. I promise if you could smoke some homegrown that someone experienced grew, you'd completely change your mind on the whole subject.

By the way, I'm in no way trying to attack you, so please don't flame me over it.

The thing is, he doesn't know how many times me or my friends have had homegrown bud. I've not had it THAT much, but my friends have. There are periods when there is no hash on the island and all there is is green. Believe me, I've lived on this island for years, so have a good amount of my friends, so has my brother. Believe me, I know what's out there. No one can grow decent green on the island, and if they do, then they're not selling.

 

Homegrowers and commercial growers are both completely different breeds. How are you going to look at a growhouse up in canada that's run by organized crime and pumps out wet m39 that's cut early, and say "all bud is homegrown"? What about an expert grower who's running a 8k flower room? He's a home grower? Someone like me, or maniac, we are "home growers", someone who grows a good amount for profit is a commercial grower.

"homegrown" is just a term that describes quality product.

 

I don't have a clue what you're talking about... Or maybe you don't have a clue what you're talking about?

Your friends don't know how to grow good weed perhaps?

All the best weed I've ever smoked is homegrown. I'd much rather smoke something homegrown with love and care than something grown purely for profit..

In the "old" days alot of homegrown was kindof crappy mostly sativas from seeds picked out of bagweed (there were some that "knew" but it wasn't wide spread). In the Northern US it is tough to get a sativa to properly finish prior to winter/frost. There was no internet where people could findout about the "newer" hybrids. But since the mid 80's things have gotten better and better.

A commercial op grows for weight and speed. Cut early and still full of nutes.

Now "proper" homegrown, it is the best of the best, ala microbrew is to beer.

 

this Is why the Goverment eradicates Ruderals since it can crossdreed and eventually get better, With Proper Cultivation a wild hemp feild in Missouri can be Cronic ganga in two years.. Again and only With Proper Cultivation.
