as for the water on mars thing, i'm kinda busy so i just copied the first link i found. feel free to check if its for real or not. i'm really not sure about this one. http://www.esa.int/esaMI/Mars_Express/SEMGKA808BE_0.html
It doesnt posses it's own awareness, only to us would it seem that way by extending our own limited perception of what awareness actually is, seeing through the eyes and interpreting with our mind. The Earth is aware because God is within it, just as She is within everything, and in that sense the Earth is but a drop of water on the ocean of God's conciousness
I wouldnt say the earth is alive, its more of a medium for life to happen. The whole thing that fucks me up is knowing how small we are compared to the universe, which leads me to think that we are nothing at all, smaller then atoms in our perspective.
...and to add to that thought, even though we are so small and insignificant, at the same time we are composed of an uncountable number of particals, all existing in perfect fluctuating harmony. your small insignificant speck of a human body, is a trillion universes unto itself.
Smaller gets smaller still, just as larger continues growing in scale. So then the largest certainty is the uncertainty of infinity. It would be cool if the two infinities somehow met, in a way in which we literally are a grain of sand, on our own beach.
Matter is a form of crystallized consciousness, so in that respect, everything is endowed with consciousness, but not everything is endowed with "life". x
Dude, have you never seen a picture of Mars? Check it out, it has MASSIVE ice caps on both N+S Poles.
everywhere, at the smallest level, around you, inside you, between one atom hydrogen atom of a water molecule and the other, and far smaller... at this sub-atomic realm uncertainty becomes great and virtual photons arise out of the nothingness... turning into a positron-electron pair, and then anihilating back into the photon (pure energy) and this back forth happens a few times before the virtual photon goes back to the nothingness it came from this is scientific fact.
