I'm looking to start distributing bud to make some extra cash on the side, but I need to know where to start. I'm currently looking for/reading through some growing guides online, that's about as far as I've gone so far. No, I research everything beforehand. I like to gather all the information possible so I'm as well off as I can possibly be. I don't think this would be any different. Also, I'll be in North Carolina before I would get a chance to sell any. I'll have to check the laws there. I don't think I'd start off dealing in pounds, probably something small like ounces of mid.
Are you going to be renting? Because if you are, you have to beware of your landlord also. Make sure they aren't dropping by all the damn time and stuff like that. You have to take every precaution, because getting busted for growing and selling can fuck with your life. And also beware of snitches, because they are around. My friend just got busted for possession and paraphernalia a little while ago because somebody squealed on him.
yes, good call about the landlord thing. if it's some small-business landlord, say who owns only the property on which you live, he'll prolly be a big pain to the ass, but if your place is owned by some huge conglomerate, who only cares that you send a rent check, it's safer. those small private landlords have more interest in what their tenants are doing because their investment is on a smaller scale that they take more personally. just to reiterate what others have said; it's all about the clients. your safety and success depend on them. the more ppl you know and the better you know them, the more successful you'll be. this is off topic in terms of your thread premise, but be a dealer who is about the weed not about the money. Give your buyers good deals, not because it's good for business but because you care about them and want the unity with others on a personal level, which you might say is consistent with the spirit of cannabis. The rewards of it transcend financial security, and I'm sure you're already aware of these things
A lot of dealers like to try and bust your head on what they're selling you, but I plan on doing my buyers right. That'll definitely be one of the biggest key elements to get a small cash flow coming. (By small cash flow, I mean maybe $50 a month to start off. That doesn't sound like a lot, but that's money you didn't have before!)
This is the best advice. Only sell to people you know and trust and tell them that you're only interested in selling to them(IE don't give out my number). Dealing successfully is like any business;buy wholesale and sell retail. If you can find someone to hook you up at say 280 an ) and you sell at 45 an 1/8, you make $80. Or sell six 1/8ths for 45 and keep a 1/4 for yourself for $10. If you want only to make a little bit of cash or smoke for free, buying OZ's a breaking them into smaller bags is easy. Your friends will always want in on some especially if you hook them up. IMHO, growing and dealing is not a good idea. Pick one of the other. IF you get bigger than a couple of 0's at a time, you run the risk of being rolled, big time

The best advice anyone can give is DONT SELL. Its to risky. The cops in NC are gay as fuck (in my expriences with them over the past 11 or so years since my first encounter with them)
