A couple of questions to people living in Amsterdam...

Im goin to Amsterdam in July hopefully n I have a couple of questions I need to ask. Help would really be appreciated. First question are Mushrooms still sold at Smart Shops or did the ban take place? Second question is, most people tell me that dealers are everywhere and most of them are junkies and would keep harrassing you, the shit they sell is always fake, so a rule of thumb in Amsterdam is to never buy drugs of the street. However what if I want to buy drugs other than Cannabis, what shall I do? Final question is it really dangerous to walk alone in the Red Light District at night? Oh and is Absinthe legal there and what is the Thujone content allowed? Thank you..

 

Anybody? please? BTW I hate stimulants with a passion (Coke, Meth, Ecstasy), I hate synthetic drugs (Downers and Uppers), I hate dissociatives (PCP, Ketamine). I LOVE HARD OPIATES to the extent that I dnt do them anymore. I'm only interested in Cannabis/Hash (which can be brought at coffeeshops, Absinthe (can be bought at Absinthe bars), however is it possible to score Opium and LSD in Amsterdam? These are the only 4 drugs I do. Please could someone help me...

 

The ban on magic mushrooms has not been passed yet. At the earliest it will come into effect on the first week of June, but no solid date is set. At the present time mushrooms are still on sale in smart shops but you are going to be cutting it close.

Buying illegal drugs in Amsterdam is pretty much the same as buying illegal drugs in any major city. Although people are aware that alot of tourists coming to Amsterdam are coming primarily for the drugs and so there are locals that are out looking for tourists with big handfulls of cash stopping strangers on the street asking for drugs. Just don't be stupid about it, imagine what would happen to some dutch kid on hollidays walking around certain parts of LA looking to buy drugs on the street. Amsterdam is really no better or worse than anywhere when it comes to foreigners looking to buy illegal drugs. If you stop some random junkie on the street and ask him to score for you he is probably going to rip you off, the same could be said for London, Dublin, Luxenburg, New York or Bogota. So what should you so? The same as with anywhere, get talking to people (other tourists or locals) in cafes, bars, clubs, hostels ect, try to suss them out see if they seem cool or trustworthy then find out if they know how to get thier hands on what you are looking for, offer to hook them up if they hook you up. LSD, opium, heroin, cocaine, ecstacy, meth, ect are all widely available in Amsterdam (are they unavailable in any capital city on earth?) if you can find someone that knows where to look.

Again, it's about as dangerous as walking around the inner city in any city. It's safer than some places, more dangerous than others, but it's nothing special. Just use your common sense, don't wander down dark alleyways with $1000 worth of jewlery hanging off yourself, don't stop a gang of skinhead junkies and tell them you are lost, don't take your wallet out and start counting out fifties and hundreds on the middle of the street. But in general the RLD is a reasonably safe area, it's not downtown Bagdad or anything, it's basically a big adult playground and a huge tourist attraction and as such the Dutch gouvernment make sure it stays user freindly.

THX ALOT BRO!!! you really helped me, appreciated... however i have a small comment i wanna make on what u said, ur 100% about all drugs being available in capital cities, however opium and lsd are the rarest drugs to find. take me anywhere n ill get u heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, meth in 24 hours... However the situation with LSD and opium is kinda diiferent, dont u think? the fucked up thing is that along with cannabis theyre my favourite intoxicants...

 

^you may have a difficult time finding Opium there, but LSD should not be a problem. Visit some of the rave scenes in the area and you will certainly find these things.

 

thank you too bro... im more interested in LSD actually, cuz I can get opium anytime i want in the middle east but not lsd... however i hate raves n the whole techno trance scene, ill see what can i do there... anyone livin in amsterdam who could contribute with more input?

 

I wouldn't say LSD is too rare in my area, at least. easiest drug to get other than herb and coke.

 

STOP DOIN this to me!!! I need Acid so bad, n I cant find it anywhere, its impossible to get here in the middle east, all we have is hash, opium, heroin and pharmaceuticals!!! When i used to live in Montreal canada there was LSD anytime I wanted to take it, however I was passing through hard times n I wasnt into trippin that much ( Ive done it 5 times only), I used to do evil hard drugs. however now my life is goin great, everything is perfect, studies, work, family, friends its all good, im much more mature, I love life, I wanna trip to learn but I cant get any LSD. I only do pot, hash and lsd now, thats why im goin to amsterdam, the pot, hash part is covered however I need to score LSD. Then im writing a book about a guy who smuggled marijuana, hash and lsd from Amsterdam to the middle east, if u knw what im sayin . hope i can find it.

 

nice. why smuggle hash from amsterdam to the middle east? seems like the supply there is pretty good.

and I prefer shrooms to acid, you could grow your own while you are in the middle east if you want to trip.

 

we have afghani, lebanese n morrocan, most probably id be gettin nepalese temple balls. however gettin ur own supply from outside the country is much safer from gettin from a guy whod rat on u if he got caught. do u really like shrooms more than acid? explan why bro...

 

to me acid feels almost impersonal and sterile/chemically. and when I get too high on acid I have trouble thinking, I just zombie out.

I get better visuals on shrooms, and feel more connected to everyone/nature. I find shrooms more euphoric and life-affirming, and prefer their body high. I have more meaningful thoughts on shrooms, and more fun. I think that shrooms improve music more than acid does.

acid is just one feel, that becomes more intense with a higher dose. shrooms are very different at a gram than a fourth ounce, so I can better determine the kind of experience I want. with acid, I really only trip out for like the hour when I'm coming up, but I keep going the whole time with shrooms.

what does hash cost in your area? I might vacation there in a year or two.
