So what should I do?

I asked this girl(friend of mine), to prom and she accepted. She recently broke up with her boyfriend. There's this other girl that goes to my school, let's call her Val, she's funny, sweet, cute. I really want to be with her, imagine if she accepts if I ask her out, I'm wondering what's gonna happen with the other girl, is she gonna be jealous(fact that both of them are gonna be at the prom)? I don't want that. Val goes to my school, not the other one. Kinda complicated, you know guys? Heck I don't know if Val is gonna accept, I'm just putting these ideas in my head. Suggestions, comments?

What's hard with going with your friend who you asked first, if the girl you like gets jealous or upset, then my advice to you would be...

Of course I'll keep my promise, I never said I'd ditch her, I'm not that kind of person. Definitely not. It's just a girl that I have my eye on. The one I'm taking to the prom is just a friend. Val has also a date to prom so ya. Thanks for the comments everyone.
