My brother is stuck at work right now because there's this crazy political event in the park in front of his job and there's THOUSANDS of people. It's a campaign for one of the candidates for the elections on Friday. They're giving away free beer and rum. I gotta love the way my country does politics.
My uncle went to the domincan a few times and told me some stories. Cheap booze and good whore houses. Its on my list of places to go for sure.
I dont know about the whore houses and I dont want to know, but yeah the alcohol and everything is pretty cheap.
pray it isn't so. we're not competitive anymore, we're not idealistic anymore, we're all crying into our bottles of prozac and wondering why everyone hates us. pfft. it sucks. except that it's really really good for us. still, it's not fun like cheap drug and free love political rallies.
Yeah, Im very sure the DR will never be like the US. Not like it's any better, just more insignificant when it comes to world politics. So what the very corrupt politicians of my country do and dont do, only affects the people living there.
