I was watching a yoga program a while back, and tried to go along with some of the positions they tried, and the few i could remember i put into practice the other night, in combination with breathing and relaxation techniques i've read about over the net, and wow.

I felt great, really relaxed, my muscles and joints that are normally strained felt relieved. also i think i entered an altered state of consciousness, my thoughts were like this, instead of the usual scatter brain jumbled up thoughts i usually have, my thoughts were very ordered, and in my head i could picture imagery flowing with my thoughts really well, also i had more creative thoughts and i could compare them to what i have experienced with marijuana. and colors seemed more intense, my whole room was filled with blue honey comb like things, like what you see when you stare into a light for a bit or a camera flashes at you, accept my eyes didnt hurt and it was a haze all over the room.

is meditation and yoga used to induce a high, it wasn't a doped up feeling just relaxed, thoughtful, interesting feeling like a clear headed high. and when i woke up the ne xt day i felt really relaxed and i also have to recall music was great.

so, is yoga and meditation used to induce a high?

and what are explantions of the effects i experienced?

Makes sense. Your mind is a very powerful thing.
I've definitely experienced similar feelings with meditation. I guess it could work with yoga too, because it's very relaxing. But I know that you can do a lot of crazy things with meditation.
I usually do pilates, though... which are more intense.
