I've been thinking for awhile about the step in most lsa seed consumption proceses which is where you have to powder the seeds. From experience with other types of seeds where the chemicals of use are located on the outer shell, i was pondering as to whether or not you could just soak the seeds and strain to get similar results. I know that this would certainly make filtering a lot easier for those who use morning glories. cause the seeds are so small, after some of the water is absorbed it could just be squeezed out through a t shirt.
I tried a paper coffee filter and it immediately plugged up hopelessly, so I gave up on that. I've ground the seeds, let them soak for 1-8 hours, and strained them thru first a tea sieve and then a cotton undershirt, which worked fine for me (no nausea to speak of). No benefit in potency for soaking 200 seeds for 1-1/2 hours vs. 200 seeds for 8 hours (overnight).
you're right, I misread your comments. My understanding is that the good stuff is not in the shell, but inside the seed. Actually the nasty stuff that makes you sick is in the shell, apparently. Therefore soaking whole seeds will not be effective. Your comments about straining through a shirt made me think you were asking if you can filter the ground seeds thru a shirt, which I have done. I gave up on paper coffee filters because they just get hopelessly clogged. I hope I understood this time.
the lsa is inside the seed, you wouldnt get anything with mgs by soaking them without grinding them. just grind them then use a reuseable filter
well i really dont need any more recipes or anything. I was just merely making an observation. I'll still test my theory soon as I'm sure none of you newly self made lsa experts have ever tried it. but thanks for your input.
