Boy, I feel like a REAL hippie for sure now. Daniel and I are looking into becoming sovereign citizens, doing away with birth certificates, social security numbers, and pretty much telling the government that they don't own us and they will no longer control our lives or the future lives of our unborn children. Now I'm not POSITIVE that things will go so smoothly for us, but we're not getting a marriage license, and my children are NOT going to have social security numbers or birth certificates, and when they're old enough to start school, I'll be homeschooling. I will parent my children as I see fit and the goddamned government can stay the hell out of it. I'm just sick of it, I'm sick of Corporate America enslaving the American people and I'm sick of the government abusing their power. I'm sick of seeing police officers, PUBLIC SERVANTS, berate and intimidate citizens. Fuck the corporation, I am my OWN person and I am not the government's property and I refuse to be treated as such anymore.
That takes a lot of guts and I applaud you. I feel the same way But remember, you can always make even more strides too if you feel the need. How do you become sovereign in your state? I am assuming each state is different.
Daniel just started looking into it, but apparently, it's a buttload of paperwork and that's about it. You can still be legally employed in the US, you can still have a driver's license, about the biggest downfall is that you'd have to pay income tax and never get a rebate or anything, and government aid won't likely be sent our way, lol. It'll probably be a few years before we can get the ball rolling anyway, and I'd like to remain a "slave" until I can get the government to pay for four years of college for me, lol. Sticking it to the man, but leeching until then.
thats a good idea. I am proud to be a canadian, but i dont want to stick around for the NA union. Im trying to find a free-non nato country to migrate to.
If you want to give a citizenship to America up, I'll gladly take it off your hands. Some people break their ass to get one, it saddens me to see how some Americans take the rights and privileges that this country gives them for granted.
well, they still get to live here, nice and safe. it's not like the cops aren't going to patrol their neighborhood anymore and arrest someone who's beating the crap out of them on a street corner.
see that is my whole problem: why the heck should anything be given in the first place? Why does some powerful entity need to bestow upon me the right to be free? Shouldn't these be rights be natural without some nation state granting them? They should be there period. The US didn't give me anything, if anything, they have slowly been taking away more rights that should just be there. Yah yah in a perfect world, I know. But still, screw the idea that rights that should be natural and unspoken are instead "being granted" by some nation acting as our good benevlovent shepard. Technically, these are all obvious rights that shouldn't even have to be mentioned. Yah, real nice, thanks for "giving"... B420 - I think there are, maybe, a half dozen nations, that are non NATO. Perhaps ten tops. Maybe some of the island nations in the S. Pacific are remote enough though.
Plus I think a lot of people are doing as KR are doing because they are ashamed to be part of a nation that had leaders that have performed the atrocities they have around the globe, both the well publicized and not so publicized. To avoid being part of the cog in that machine. It is tough not to be, but it can be done and maybe that is what KR is doing, making strides.... Not to speak for KR or anything of course. Probably why a lot of people just want to get away from whatever country they may be from. Because of the shitty leadership and to not be associated with the sheep that follow the shitty leaders.
NATO = North Atlantic Treaty Organization. there's plenty more than 10 nations that aren't part of it. it's essentially Canada, the US and Europe (minus Russia and Ireland, and probably another couple countries) anyways. the way society works, with all its bureaucracy, registries, rules and bullshit has always frightened and fascinated me. people accept it all just because they've been conditioned to, and they've been conditioned to condition their kids into doing the same thing, and this has gone on for generations. so you've got this huge community with all these systems and rules and boundaries which, really, exist only in theory. it only works because we let it, by accepting it at face value. I think what you're doing is great, Ramona, and I could see more and more people, especially people unhappy with their goverment, trying to free themselves from their government in the future. something like that might well be a long bumpy road though, so I wish you all the best in your self-liberation
I am not sure if that a smart thing, dont you get health insurance with your government papers or whatever?
No, the govt doesnt give us insurance. But what is this going to accomplish? I mean the reasoning behind it is cool, but I don't see what its going to do. You won't be exempt from taxes, or drug laws, it's like you just become further lost in the system. It seems like people should start claiming their inherent sovereignity..without filing paperwork. Doesn't it seem a little ironic to follow bureaucratic measures to 'liberate' yourself from bureaucracy?
And it seems a little strange to be wanting to take this kind of action, but not until the govt pays for your school. It kind of takes credibility out of the argument. Part of me thinks the only way to change things, is by remaining an active citizen. The other part of me wants to go live in the woods.
All I gotta say, is if your children ever want to drive, they better not speed. If they get pulled over, no ID=jail, until identity can be established=no araignment, no arraignment=no release from jail. I have met cats like this, born at a rainbowgathering ..yaddayaddayadda..one named free.....it can be done, but they hitch hiked everywhere.
I was interested in doing this before, but didn't spend alot of time looking into it...as every job wants a social security number...and well, I like money to buy rent and other stuff. here's 3 sites I found this morning on the subject http://www.discharge-debt.com/id73.htm http://famguardian.org/Subjects/Freedom/Sovereignty/Sovereign=Foreign.htm http://www.famguardian.org/Subjects/Freedom/Articles/SecretsOfSSN.htm
