I just got an 80 that says CDN on one side and 80 on the other. Its 100% identical to a real OC 80 in all ways. Same time release color, same size, everything is the same, its just got CDN instread of OC writen on the one side. I looked these up and they seem to just be canadian Oxycontin. But does anyone kno how these are different? THE BURN IS UNREAL! Regular oxys dont burn even a 25% this much. Totally got me off guard lol. Anyone kno wtf is up with these?
CDN 80 is the canadian version of OC 80 made by same company,so not generic. Oxycontin 80 mg I might not always be right, but I'm never wrong. I don't know why it burns, but sometimes I can snort the same pill a few days later or a week or so and it burned a little worse.. Maybe you just irratated your nose or something Try another one and see if it burned,, Its made by Purdue so it should be the same
try sniffin a little warm water if it burns again. or you could always do the method where you make a water solution and snort that through one of those ear plungers. don't really know how it works, but maybe it'll keep it from burning
No trust me its a burn that is 15x worse then regular oxycodone. But I found out why. They're reformulated oxys and they burn your nose on purpouse, sort of like a way for them to try and lower abuse. Kinda like the gellies in the other generics.
^^^ Ya that is strange I don't know why Purdue would make them abuse proof in canada and not the US.. I know Purdue is making a new pill to be abuse proof but there not to be out till later this year... Maybe they're experamiting with the Canadians (Like Guinea Pigs) LOL
well that sux. just when I was stoked that purdue finally had an exclusive patent they're gonna make pills that are abuse-proof...would one still be able to chew them to defeat the time-release?
i have the real OC 80. how is the weather up in seattle Burn? heading back up there soon. its hot as hell down here.
Stock up now they are going to change them soon May 11, 2008 The company now wants to sell a new form of the drug coated in a plastic-like polymer that prevents potential drug abusers from easily grinding tablets into a fine powder. That makes it hard to snort the drug or "cook" it for intravenous injection. When it is "cooked," it forms a gelatin ball that is difficult to draw into a syringe. But the coating does not affect how the tablets dissolve in the gut, so patients would still be able to use the drug for pain relief, the company said. Purdue Pharma officials tried to show that the polymer cut down on the amount of active drug that an addict could extract from a tablet. "We can argue that we have met some degree of tamper resistance. But the abuse resistance is yet to be determined," said J. David Haddox, MD, Purdue Pharma's vice president of risk management and health policy. But while experts supported the idea of tablets that are hard to misuse while keeping OxyContin available for pain patients, they said the company failed to show that the new form would cut down on abuse in the real world. The company did not show, for instance, whether motivated addicts with some facility in chemistry would be able to find ways around the polymer coating, experts said. In a statement, the company said it "will continue to work with the FDA on our New Drug Application (NDA) for a new formulation of OxyContin (oxycodone HCl controlled-release) Tablets." This part really sucks Monday, May 05, 2008 The new OxyContin tablet has a plastic-like coating fused to it that causes it to break into large fragments rather than powder when abusers attempt to mash it. If they attempt to dissolve it, the coating turns the tablet into “a gelatinous mess” that cannot be injected. This week the FDA is considering whether the new version of OxyContin is sufficiently tamper-resistant to allow it on the market before the required long-term studies are done to determine if it actually reduces abuse. Hopefully, if these reformulated drugs prove to reduce abuse, doctors will be more comfortable prescribing them for chronic pain patients who truly need them.
Yeah purdue didnt really make these CDNS like that, some other company did. The canadian oxys actually come from a company in europe. They already started the reformulation shit.
yeah it was pretty warm yesterday and today, about 83. as long as there's a breeze I don't mind it. I guess i'll have to palliate myself that despite the polymer crap, it might turn out for the best if more ppl are able to get legit access to them. i'll prolly just start parachuting or something
Well that's really the best way to take it, so at least you can count on that. I guess CWE would fail now?
