Also posted in the Pharmaceautical Section I am brand new to this forums board but have discovered that very little seems to be known about Tramadol on here. Here is a general outline of this medication and its recreational usage. I am not a doctor but have years of experience under my belt with this pharmaceutical. TRAMADOL/ULTRAM GUIDE Meet Tramadol Tramadol is truly in a category of its own. It is true that Tramadol is a synthetic analog of codeine, therefore one could say that it is an opiate. However it doesn't act on the opiate receptors as strongly as normal opiates do. While opiates usually act on multiple Opiate Receptors, Tramadol works on one or very few. It is approximentaly 1/10 as powerful as morphine, effecting the receptor(s) less. Effects - Tramadol can produce effects on some people that are much more prefered than even opiates like hydrocodone, oxycodone, and morphine. Tramadol is weaker but it is known to give what I call an "Afterglow". This continues to happen to me to this day: 6-10 hours after dosing at least 250mg or more, this profound sense of happiness overcomes you. Your not physically impaired, just mentally happy. You slowly come off this feeling, I said come-off NOT "come-down". Come downs are shitty.. come off's are chill. It's funny really.. when I was at the peak of my Ultram use, where the effects seemed to greatest, it was almost like a low dose of MDMA.. you know where the X begins to kick in.. like first sinking in to bath of hot water. It's nice, I'm telling you. It will, however, effect everyone differently. I compare it to MDMA because of the mental sense of well being it brings. Not nearly that of MDMA but you get the picture. It usually kicks in about 30 min. to an hour after dosing. Tramadol also seems to impair one much less than regular opiates. Driving can still be dangerous, and I urge you to choose your decisions wisely. Tolerance - Tramadol can lose its magic after a few years but generally takes longer for the body to build a tolerance because its not slamming so many opiates receptors (like Hydro and Morphine). If you dose very high on a daily basis, it will lose its effect. Positive Euphoria - Tramadol is amazing in many ways. It brings an opiate buzz during first usage that at times can feel very well. It brings this mental concentration at times, and seems to raise one's mood. This buzz doesn't only just last during first usage but during the first year or two you will get the most out of it. Even after 9 yeras, it helps me stay emotionally balanced and refrains myself from experiencing sadness or despair on a general basis. Dosage - I currently take 6-9 Ultrams a day. This is considered high but believe it or not, I need this. I am prescribed 180 (50mg) pills a month. I suggest no one take this dosage unless absolutely neccesary. If your first months, don't pass up 250mg (or five 50mg pills in one day). Afterwards, its your call. I use to be on Heroin so my doc can't prescribe me opiates or I'll relapse. Ultram is considered weaker than opiates so it's all I got to manage my pain. And yes, it does a little bit more. Combinations with other Drugs - Tramadol can be a blast with other drugs. Do not take it with DXM though. This can really fuck up your serotonin. Taking it with other opiates seems to allow you to keep the mental effects of Tramadol and feel the physical euphoria of the combined opiate. I also take Adderall daily with the Ultram. They do effect each other, and personally, I love it. I get the focus and concentration of Adderall and this slight, very background-like opiate buzz with mental positivity and emotion. So its like this feel good, energetic concentration with euphoric emotion. Benzo's seem to have a stronger effect with Ultram but can also overpower you if your not careful. Keep it slow. The effects of Hullucinogens will be decreased if taking Ultram. As I said before, Tramadol (Ultram) acts like an SSRI (prozac) and blocks serotonin re-uptake. Fry and Boomers will not work as well if taken on the same day. I've done Ultram with about every drug out there, if you have any more questions, just ask. Seizures - Tramadol can cause seizures. I know this because I have had one. It acts somewhat as an SSRI (like prozac and zoloft) so if you are taking an SSRI, Do not take Tramadol. I was put on prozac when I was 17 and the first day I started, I woke up in my living room with 9 EMT's holding me down. You think your in a nightmare. Your body remains stiff for days.. you know when you work out or stretch your legs or arms? You feel the burn? That is a certain type of acid that is released into your muscles. During this seizure, all your muscles get flooded with this acid. The next day you feel like your body was hit by a train. All happiness is drained and stupidity of the mind is overwhelming. It took me 4-5 months just to get my short-term-memory 3/4 of what it was before. So remember this combo.. It can cause Serotonin Syndrome and trust me, I wouldn't wish SS on my worse enemies. It is hell on Earth. Withdrawals For me, Tramadol (Ultram) greatly reduces Opiate Withdrawals effects. If your coming of Heroin or OC, or any other opiate, try 3 Ultrams in the morning, and 3 in the afternoon. However, Tramadol is a double-edge sword in the category of withdrawal. WHile Tramadol helps reduce withdrawals, withdrawaling from Tramadol itself is a hell of its own. For those of you who know Heroin withdrawls - the sweating, the body agitation, the body pain, puking, diareeah, all that.. Tramadol withdrawal is more like this overwhelming sense of hopelessness mentally, physical pain like heroin 'drawals, and insomnia up the ass. It is almost like it hits you on a spiritual level. Make sure you taper off of Ultram if you KNOW you wont be able to get more or a refill. This do I absolutely urge you to do. Sleeping Ultram can either help your sleep, or keep you up. It varies from person to person. For me, I get insomnia due to the mental sense of well being which tells me "you don't need to fucking sleep". So I dont. Thats why I don't take it past 8 or 9 pm. However, if I take Ultram with Diphenhydramine (Tylenol PM), it brings the same opiate effect of Hydrocodone. Most opiate users known that Diphenhydramine (Tylenol PM, Benadryl) and Promethazine (Phenergen) usually multiply the effects of opiates. It has this effect on Ultram as well but not in the same context. If you do it to much, it won't work anymore. Overall Overall, this drug is very light, not even considered a medium drug, and a weak opiate compared to others. However, Tramadol brings something to the table that even potent opiates cannot achieve. The unique and diverse mental & emotional effects are pretty kickass. The body high lasts a good while, and did I forget to mention that this drug will help your pain very well. It's sort of like my retreat drug, cannabis being most of the world's; this is the one thing I can always fall back on and know "hey I can feel good but not get too fucked up or addicted. I can find this peace and balance and know life will be ok." In the end though, anything can cause addiction, even this. Remember who you are, what your values are, and to practice PEACE, LOVE, UNITY, AND RESPECT. Happy Tripping Everyone. Hit me up if you all got questions. Tramadol is just one of many pharms/chemical I can tell you about. Thanks again for your time in reading this. PLUR ~ Danny Havok
sweet post my friend. Welcome to the hipforums psychedelics section! I recently discovered tramadol as well, my lil brother broke his leg and the doc gave him 60 50mg pills. The first time I took them I ate 150mg, then like an hour later ate another 50mg. That was my first enjoyable opiate high, and it was great. I felt euphoric and high and could still function. The only opiate I had tried before that was hydrocodone, and I actually liked it better than hydro. But now im into oxy. mixing oxy and tramadol has been the best high I've experienced in my entire life (not counting acid trips).
Thats all great and all. But how could you have that much experience under your belt if your only 19yrs old. I prefer to get my experience in scientific drugs with a little more experience. I'm not saying it is bad stuff but come on how much do you really know at 19 HAHAHAHA
I tried tram for the first time a few months ago, and it was a pretty cool buzz that lasted for 6 hours. I found it to be a bit too mild for further use. I was kinda teetering on the edge of a good high for a long time. Great for a prolonged mood lift throughout most of your day.
trams are awsome cuz they last soooo long! mix them with some oxy for one of the greatest opiate highs ever! and it will make ur oxy high last mad long.
Well, I'm sure that oxy would change things for sure. I'm waiting for some morph pills that should be available soon. I also know a guy who can get tram easily. Good combination?
its a great combination. Read that thread by pharmaphunk "tramadol to potentiate". The trams make the opiate more potent and last longer.
I was thinking the same thing, but you have to give this guy credit: his information (as far as I can see from reading and comparing to my own experience/knowledge) is pretty good. And he writes well, uses proper grammar, and interesting sentance structure. Something that CANNOT be said for a majority of posters on this forum. Not that proper grammar and writing skills are a good indicator of pharmaceutical knowledge, but I think he knows his shit. One thing the OP didn't mention is that taking tramadol with ANY anti-depressant can be a seizure risk, not just SSRIs. Also, for anyone taking a supplement containing St. Johns Wort, remember that St John's Wort acts much like an SSRI in the brain and can also be dangerous to take with Tramadol. Thanks to the OP for the good info on Tramadol. -V
so its an opiate? prescribed for pain then? JW, ive never seen anyone have it. dont think im gonna try it, ive had seizures before, only when im up for like 24+ hours playing video games though, never on drugz.
and why would you say that? because you assume you know me or somthing..? or cuz u have no life? or cuz your a homo? lol which one is it..? what a nice to thing to say about someone, especcially when you dont even know me, you dont even know what i look like, and you can wish bad upon me? are you one of those people who make friends with people and then talk shit behind there back? cuz those are the kinda people whos throats i like to slit lol wow i thought this forum was for people who ARE NOT NARROW minded.. you proved me wrong lol.. IMHO ur a homo. probly gonna kick me now huh, i assume its the only way you probly deal with things.. yay for free speech. yay for hitler lol
You can't tell someone to stop being narrow minded after calling them a homo. He may have been joking, or he's just an asshole. Still, don't be quick to judge, friend. Personally, I thought you told us that you played games for 24 hrs because you thought it was dumb too. Tramadol, anybody?
I wasn't saying I washed harm upon you. quite the opposite, in fact. However, a seizure seems like a logical consequence for 24 straight hours of video games. What did you expect? I have no problem with you playing video games for so long, but I'm realistic enough to know that that kind of shit is a natural consequence. I don't wish death on people that jump off of buildings, but that is just the way things go. (for the record, logic better backs an arguement than mindless hateful flaming)
well, you offend me, i offend back, simple lol what did you want me to say, oh gee thanks for letting me know i deserved it, have a nice day! i posted a question about the drug, and you turned it into bull.. "oh u probably deserved it." and now everyone wants something to say about it.. yea dont be quick to judge.. oh and geneity, what are you talking about? fail..? is that some wierd internet term for people with nothing better to say? or somthing ? mm i wasnt even talking to you, how come your so quick to judge? lol
Hey guys, I just registered here and wanted to post to just give a little warning about Tramadol. Be careful with this shit. The things everyone have said are very true, the high is decent and it lasts mega long. However, I just wanted to warn people not to get a real habit with this stuff. They say it's not supposed to be addictive, but I assure you if you get addicted to it, you will have withdrawls like a fucking junkie. Now, I know most people won't have this problem, but I had a very stead supply of the stuff. (a friend got a huge bottle every month and would hook me up cheap or sometimes for free). I started taking it everyday, I could pop a few and have a great buzz all day at work, and just take one now and then throughout the day to sustain my buzz. This was all good for almost a year, but I started noticing little things, like when I wouldn't have any or even if I missed a dose at the normal time I'd usually take it, I would get a runny nose, or start sweating alot. This was never much of an issue, and I didn't actually realize what it was till later. My friend moved unexpectedly, and my supply was promptly cut off. I swear to you all... it was the most awful time in of my life, and it lasted like a month. I had absolutely no energy. My body would ache and my head would throb. I couldn't sleep, my legs would shake and want to move all night (Tramadol is also sometimes prescribed for Restless Leg Syndrome), I couldn't get comfortable, even if I did manage to fall asleep I would wake up soaked in sweat. I would be get so hot I had to lay on top of my blankets in just underwear, but then of course I would promptly freeze and put the blankets back over me, and this would go back and forth over and over all night. The worst part though was the depression. This is fucking severe. I spiraled into the blackest and most hopeless depression I've ever been in. I would cry for no reason. I honestly didn't want to live. At the time that my supply was cut off was also before I had any of the hookups I have now, so I had nothing to ease coming off of it. After about a month everything was okay again. But I remember when I first tried to look up information to see if others had it, I found sites saying it was made to be nonaddictive. I couldn't believe it. I soon found others who had the same experience, there are some who have written about it on Erowid: http://www.erowid.org/experiences/subs/exp_Pharms_Tramadol_Difficult_Experiences.shtml Now, I will close in saying that abusing anything as hard as I did Tramadol at the time is just asking for trouble. However, I now take other opiates pretty much daily, hydrocodone and morphine mostly, the morphine I take orally and inject. I have went times without these and had withdrawls, but they were so mild compared to what I exprienced with Tramadol that it was nothing. I've read junkies describe heroin withdrawl, and while I'm not saying it's as severe, the symptoms are very much the same. It's silly, to have a drug that's not even that strong (besides having a long lasting buzz) have such hardcore withdrawls, but I swear it's true. Just be careful with it guys. (Oh yeah, I also noticed that when I'd take alot in one day I'd get headaches that only pot would cure. Thanks to my experiences, I can't even look or think about Tramadol without getting sick to my stomach.)
I gotta see if I can get that shit prescribed for my depression. My current doc sez his clinic doesn't prescribe it. Funny story though, I bought some pills from this guy one time only to find out they were Tramadol... Which, at the time, I though was just some bullshit antidepressant. I think I threw them out. Never talked to that guy again. Oops.
I know V I'm just messin around. He does seem to have a alot of good info on it. Like you said we need more people on this site with good info to help all these other peeps out. I love helping them out so they don't hurt them self. Its allways good to know what your taking So Good job to the OP
Haha, well shit everybody, THANKS SO MUCH for the awesome comments and for welcoming me. Truly this place is a place of peace, the kind of place I have been looking for. And as for me being 19 and having that much experience under my belt, as I stated, I had serious back pain issues due to a back disorder and was put on this stuff at age 12. It's true. As many have said, IT CAN BE DANGEROUS.. but if you play it smart, this shit can be euphoric as hell. Dexadrine and Tramadol is what I'm mixing right now, and I'm telling you.. it's groovy. Thanks again to all of you for the love. Peace, Love, Unity, Respect.
