Hey guy's I just finished editing an LSD music video of sorts, found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npDW0lQF1S4 Anyway it was done as an animatic for a short film I'm working on, (mock-up/storyboard) a basic rough idea of some things I want to see during a scene depicting a character who is feeling the effects of LSD for the first time. I think it turned out pretty cool, but I need some input from real LSD enthusiast like you guys. The images are supposed to depict this character's journey, but in a cinematic way. That is to say not 100% true to the reality of what it's actually like to be tripping on LSD, which can't really be done for obvious reason's... I'm looking for any input I can get from you guys on how this scene should be handled. And yes the animatic has some copyrighted image's from the film Heavy Metal, like I said this is just an animatic not generated for distribution. Thanks a bunch guys, look forward to your input.
if he used floyd there would have been someone else saying the music sucked. i thought the music was great. all in all I'd say it's one of the most accurate video expressions of the experience that I've seen. The humanoid figure falling through the cosmos was right out of my last trip. the face giving birth to another face through its mouth, also very acidy. well done.
Awesome, I'm glad you guys seem to enjoy it. And "just a daily toke" this Animatic was made for a film with a $25,000 dollar budget, Born slippy is feasible to get at least festival rights for, a Floyd song would cost an arm and a leg even just for festival rights, let alone commercial release, and thats if they would even allow it.
