i have both smoked and grown marijuana for several years now, but still consider myself very much a beginner. how did marijuana get to be what it is today. i dont understand how we got from indica and sativa to thousands of strains like blueberry that actually tastes like blueberries or grape ape that really tastes like grape. could someone give me a simple genetics lesson or hook me up with a website that has some good info?

what always gets me is that the government would rather break it down and synthesize the components as medicine, rather than use it the way it grows.
thats exactly how cocaine was created. the last thing we need is more pharmaceuticals!

on top of that wikpedia article......many strains/genetics were originated and imported from south africa along with many other places in the world.
