Agreed. Being an artist comes along with insanity. I accept that and embrace it as inspiration. I don't wanna tone down my emotions, I wanna feel everyone of them and be strong enough to DEAL WITH IT.

That statement illustrates the simple fact that you cannot even conceptualize what insanity really it.

    indeed.

I've felt true insanity only once, and its nothing to persue. Theres really no perks to grab while out of your mind. And any good that does come out of it is just by natures choice, or luck.

Yeah, there was a period in my life during which I felt like I was truly going insane.

It was probably the least pleasant period in my life and it took me a good amount of effort to get out of it.

A statement such as "being an artist comes along with insanity. I accept that and embrace it as inspiration" is some of the most anal, pseudo-intellectual drivel I have ever heard in my life.

Honestly... shit, you'd expect people to have more common sense.

Your attitude towards what you perceive as weakness in treatment is a symptom of your own insecurities to appearing weak.

You try to cover this insecurity be making personal attacks against anyone who disagrees with you.

It's very childish. Some people have very hard lives and are in very different circumstances then you. They would prefer to take medication to prevent the reuptake of 5-HTP so they are in a state where they can overcome their personal demons on their own time.

You're hostility doesn't make you look strong here. It makes you look angry.

    Chill.

yeah, i used to be like you, it turns into a martyr complex and lashing out at people who don't deserve it, because you've got all this rage inside because you have to do it all alone. 19, kinda dumb, inexperienced, believing that your own experience is the only truly awful thing that can happen to someone. and 'HEY! LOOKIT ME! I'M GREAT.' no, you're not. you're in denial.

Haha, sorry, should have been more specific..

I know that it helped my mom who suffered with extreme abuse and other things so I don't like it when people act as though they are right just because something works for them and their life. People don't know how other's feel inside or what their life consists of, just because you "assume" doesn't mean crap. People have the right to do what they want and take what they want, it's really no ones place to act as though they are so above someone, you don't know until you live a day in that person's shoes and know how they feel inside. Live your own life and don't make others feel horrible for the way they live theirs... I just know how much meds helped my mom for those years and how better she is now, she doesn't take them anymore, but during that time that she did, it was for the best and she could sleep at night without waking up screaming bloody murder due to her night terrors...

People like to think that bad things don't happen to good people through no fault of their own. That if people just work at it, they can instantly feel better.

The alternative, that our own neurology largely dictates our mood, and they aren't completely in control of the state of their mood. That makes people uncomfortable.

So instead people blame the victim. It's just that their not taking responsibility. Or that their trying to solve their problems with mind control medication. Or they need to try the south beach diet.

I would agree if the drug was simply a mood altering drug. Being that in this case it is a seratonin booster and not a mood enhancer at all. i may have to disagree here.
What im hearing here is more like my beer consumption.

Well serotonin plays an extremely complicated role in mood. From what we can ascertain, having an abundance of serotonin is required for emotional stability, increased mood and appetite, and proper sleep.

And specifically, it isn't an agonist. It prevents the reuptake so it stays in the neuron longer.

    Now that shit improves mood.

Yeah, I was thinking of patenting it as a 'miracle PMS elixir.'

I deserve to get laid alot for that. :D

Oh, also I have a perfect hangover cure that I'm thinking about making into a shake. Selling at the supermarket. Much more effective then those chaser things.
