Hey. I am about a month into growing, and was wondering when and how I will be able to identify male plants and remove them from their pot. Also, what can be done with these plants if anything?

Male flowers are different than the female calyx and two white hairs. Go hit up the MJ Guide for pics. When the plant is mature (alternating nodes) the preflowers male/female should show. If not then they will when you switch to the 12/12 light cycle. Cut the males at the base of the stem and get them far away before the pollen drops.

You can always save the males and run them through some bubble bags for hash. Not a big return but worth the effort.

Also males often produce clusters of flowers for usually 1 to 3 weeks before any flowers actually open and shed pollen.
