as for selling out Red Rocks, it's only a bit over 9K.

I like smaller festivals over the big ones. P-Groove's Amberland is this weekend, probably a 1000 or so people, best weekend of the yr. 1 band, 3 days, laid back with just some cool folks.

imo, the scene is as healthy as ever...we may have lost a couple of the 'big dogs', but i think that there is more talent and creativity out there now than any other time in my show going life

Well, considernig Red Rocks is one of the premier venues for large jambands to play, I'd say their record of consecutively selling out 23 shows proves that WSP is among the top jambands touring today.

Yea really... they constantly sell out a venue that has ONLY(!!!??) 9,000 seats and that doesn't mean anything....

    Talk about an elitist statement.

Would it be really accurate to label WSP as a jamband in the same vein as Phish or SCI? Yes, they do jam, but it's really not the same jamming. It's not better or worse; it's just different.

WSP is to the allman brothers, as the Grateful dead is to Phish. obviously we know which is better :)

well then your statement should be revised to say "i know which is better" than "we all know which is better" because i personally like all the above mentioned bands.

I am also bias because the Brothers are from my hometown and i live about 3 blocks from the Big House :) and Panic is from Athens, about 2 hours down the road and play here all the time.

i would never be as smug as to speak for anyone but myself. I love the dead, i love phish, but i grew up listening to the prior mentioned bands and have seen better shows throughout my life, how they reach out to communities and whatnot.

If it is blind loyalty, so be it. You would fit in well on PT.

I think panic probably has the largest following, i don't really know about largest hippie following. Sound tribe shows always seem to have a pretty huge hippie following. I don't really think one band takes the title its all opinion
