My dreads are progressing nicely, and I am slowly but surely removing every bit of residual wax every day. Luckily I only ever applied wax once, and it was a very light amount--even before I heard how bad it was I didn't like it. The stickyness was very offputting to me--I was thinking to myself "should I really be putting this stuff into my hair?" My dreads are now feeling much lighter and cleaner, and I love how they look. About 3 months old, please comment!
i have no idea whgat donniae darko wsas or is but thats ok your dreads are lookin great. they shopuld stop shroinkinand start growoin bout now and just those thicker 1's on the 1 side just watch those the 1 looked like it would love to start swallowin more they look good n tight for 3 months
Looking a lot better now that all the wax is out. hmm well mine don't look like that...maybe I am doing something wrong. Should I backcomb them???
Thanks for the kind words everyone--I am really enjoying watching my dreads mature as I continue my journey!
And by the way, Donnie Darko is a crazy movie by Richard Kelly. It's his first film, and involves time travel and hallucinations of giant 6-foot freaky-looking rabbits. It has a decent cast as well--Jake Gyllenhaal, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Drew Barrymore, Patrick Swayze, Noah Wylie, and the soundtrack is pretty sweet. Check it out--highly recommended!
