Soccer needs some major rule changes to make it watchable. 1-2 scoring for a 3 hour game? What up with that? First off the fields too big. Too much running not enough scoring. Cut it in half, and double the size of the nets. That's a start.
i didn't realize that manchester was divided, but good for them! so lode, are you proposing we make an arena soccer game in the spirit of arena football?
Precisely. And also I don't like the name soccer. They should change the name. Something like ankleball.
Football is one of the best games out there. The fact that the scores are low only makes it more interesting. It's not all about scoring points. Anyhow, I've been a Manchester fan for a good 8 years now. I haven't watched the game yet, but hell, I'm pretty damn happy that Manchester won. It's about time to take the trophy back to Old Trafford.
It seems to lead very little chance to make a turn around halfway through the game to me. Someone either has momentum or not, so it makes it seem a bit slow. Not like baseball slow, but still.
its really not all that slow though...it may be perceived as slow, however, gameplay is much faster than what it seems
Gameplay is fast, technical, and vicious. There are also a fair amount of on-goal opportunities and other exciting plays throughout the game. It's really not just people kicking a ball around. Plus some of the most skillful and athletic people in the entire world play the game.
seriously, the way i figure it, i was automatically badass awesome at soccer as a child. therefore the entire sport is suspect. i am, however, a newly recruited hockey fan.
Oh, I know it's very technical and complex. And of course the players are incredible athletes. I'm just saying from my spectator point of view, I don't see a lot happening in games a lot of the time. In other news, Spurs-Lakers game one tonight. It's in LA and the Spurs may be a bit tired from crushing New Orleans Monday night. I'm a little concerned.
