I've checked out this board for a while, but it seems like no one's ever mentioned this great, new band called Wolf Parade. Everyone here is always raving about the Arcade Fire, so I figured I'd mention these guys. Their stuff is produced by Isaac Brock. It's a little bit of a mix between The Arcade Fire and Modest Mouse's older stuff, like The Moon and Antartica. I mean, they're music is pretty closely tied to Clap Your Hands Say Yeah too, so...Yeah, check these guys out if you haven't already. Geez, it's been a few years since I've written on this board. I guess I should say...Hi...everyone?
Wolf Parade's great. They really know how to mix guitars and vocals with some interesting eletronic effects. They remind me of Modest Mouse, but don't seem quite as dark.
I love Wolf Parade. 'Apologies to the Queen Mary' is definitely on my top albums list. I would agree they aren't as dark as Modest Mouse, but you can definitley pick out the influence.
