Do you play any instruments? If so, for how long? I learnt piano when I was very young and every now and then Ill go play the one in my house. We have 5 guitars a piano and a drumset in my house. I used to dabble with guitar in highschool, I played sax in junior high, but they never stuck. Ive just been feeling creative lately and have been playing my piano, and I love it.
That's awesome I just started playing the keys, using my theory knowledge. I play it more than guitar now. I'm starting my own band, cause I'm making up good songs. Ive mostly been playing synthesizer for keys though, but i'm getting the grand piano tuned up soon *beams* oh yeah and I started playing banjo too. I like the drum kit alot now too cause I got some practice on one living at my friends house. I like doing sevens and nines, spices things up, even threes
i taught myself to play on a little keyboard i used to have, but that was probably 12 years ago and i remember nothing of it... and as is required of every american child, i learned the recorder in fourth grade and of course, i play with my instrument daily...
i can't sing worth a crap - can't hold a tune... and i don't play any musical instruments. but my manlover tells me guitar is really easy and you don't have to have that much innate musical talent to learn... he's really good, so one of these days imma get him to teach me.
You just have to have the desire to really do it. And I never had it that strongly. Bri: Haha. Id forgotten about the recorder. I was forced to stand outside the portable in the winter without my coat in grade four or five because i hadnt practised my recorder homework.
i've been playing the piano since i was very young... i also play the trumpet (started in fifth grade), the baritone, some drums, some guitar, some bass, some recorder, and i can pretty much play any instrument you hand me... so yeah...guess you'd say i'm musical... i don't think i can sing though...i think i'm probably horribly out of tune....
Hahaha I am HORRIBLY out of tune. If you want a good laugh, get me to sing. Though I think on the rare occasion I can muster up something nice.
i used to want to be an opera singer.... i remember standing in the balcony while my mom practiced the organ at church and just belting out songs.... i don't know if i was in tune or not, but i certainly did not care....
I can sing pretty well (I'm an American idol. ) and I've recently taken up the acoustic guitar, going to move on to electric when I start getting skilled.
Used to play the piano when I was a kid, later on in highschool I was in a band and I was the bassist. Its all gone now.
Spence, stick with acoustic, true skill comes from there, if only because the accuracy and strength has to be dead on. Once I started playing classical I never thought of electric again as anything more than a toy
It is easier to learn on an electric, the strings are lighter, but acoustic is the true test for sure. But electric is damn sexy.
i can sing, play guitar, bass, little drums, and some piano...id love to learn to blow on a harp someday though...
My dad gave me his guitar before he died. It just collected dust in my room, then when he passed, I picked it up and started playing. First song I learned to play was 'Hells Bells' By AC/DC. Then I started to play 12 bar blues stuff, I found it so fun. I still play, and I still suck. But I love playing it.
nope, not musical at all. tried the trumpet in middle school...and yea...haha...i want to learn sax though
Music is a big part of my life. It's not my top talent, yet I'm decent at it. I play the guitar, piano, and harmonica (even though anyone and their mom can play the harmonica). I'm working on a reggae project right now. By "working" I mean slacking off on a reggae project I'm thinking about doing. Every time I decide to write a song I just end up writing something that doesn't sound at all like reggae at the end of it.
I can't play anything at all. I've taken lessons when I was a kid, but nothing ever stuck. I'm just musically uninclined. I do, however, have a piano and other kid friendly instruments that I have around in the hopes one of my kids will take an interest. So far, no luck. My husband's family can pick up just about any instrument and play it well. His sister has perfect pitch. <so jealous>
I think Seamonster and Rubin don't need no manual to know how to rock. It took me like two or three reads to see 'sax'.
