My wrist has been hurting and I'd really love to quit using my mouse as much as I can. About the only thing I usually need it for is using bookmarks. Any firefox users know how to get into the bookmarks window with the keyboard? I can open the window with it, I just can't get into it to select anything without the mouse.
Thanx. I do know how to open bookmarks, I just cant use it without the mouse once it's open. I looked over the list but don't know if any of them select or open bookmarks. That's what I need is a keyboard short cut that selects and opens individual bookmarks once the bookmark window is open. It's funny..they seem to have keyboard shortcuts for all kinds of things I never do, but the thing I do most often seems to be left out.
OK, I found my answer. It was actually as simple as hitting the tab key once and then using the up/down arrow keys. I thought I had tried that, but it's working now. Now that I know that I won't need the mouse much any more. Thanks again for the help.
Yeah, actually...this one might be a little less easy to answer though...why the hell did MS decide to make the visual indicator for the tab shortcut so ridiculously hard to see that you can't track it across the screen to see where the hell it is?! I hope they fixed that in Vista. (I have xp) Someone should come up with a way to make that thing neon!
Microsoft adopted a new policy a few years ago that says programs should look really fancy but for no practical use. example=look at the interface in IE7 =) (http://www.mydigitallife.info/wp-content/uploads/2006/10/ie7-menu-bar.JPG), since when does anything go above the 'file edit view" bar? there are little UI tweaks you can do to change your issue but nothing worth doing. Just stop looking at porn and your wrist should feel better in a couple of days =)
