oh yeah. peachy. i put joey down for a nap, and dozed off with her because she'd kept me up the night before. suddenly i realize it's REALLY dark outside, and the wind is sounding really strange. i got up to check weather.com and it says "a tornado has been spotted on the ground in your area, seek shelter immediately" and then the hail came down. i freaked, grabbed joey out of bed and ran down into the basement. it was so loud i couldn't even think. i snuck up to turn on the TV to the news channel to hear what was going on then headed back to the basement. kai's school was in lockdown from 11:20 to 2:00, and all the kids were kept in various safe zones of the school. what a miserable experience.
I thought of you yesterday when I heard this on the news. Glad to hear you are ok and I bet that is the most scariest thing to go through, I would have freaked out bigtime.
I would have been worried sick with my child at school and not at home during something like that. I think of that often when I think about earthquakes here, what if my kids arent home and would they be all right? There was a tornado that touched down in riverside at least I think it was riverside. The weather patterns seem to be changing a lot lately.
we could get pretty infrequent small tornadoes in SoCal, and weld county is knhown for loads of tornadoes, but mainly because it's such a HUGE swathe of land. this tornado was unusually huge. CRAZY.
My GFs boss knows someone in Windsor who’s house and garage got hit sounded like it got pretty much wiped out. We had some mean looking clouds and a little hail in Boulder but all the violent stuff missed us.
Me too, I had a dream about one coming a few weeks ago, and I was standing outside watching it holding Jack in my arms. Its was nuts, the dream was so realistic
wow thats crazy. i had a dream about tornadoes last night glad you're all ok and yea, i want to experience a tornado, along with a bunch of other natural disaster type things.
im glad you guys are ok. damn scary weather, no getting near people who i think are cool. i forbid it!
We had that earlier this week KC. I was on the way home when I heard about the tornado warning. By the time I got home, the sky was dark and the wind was blowing like crazy. We all huddled in the coat closet until it passed. The tornado itself passed about a mile from our house. For about a minute, maybe a little less, the wind was so loud that I thought the walls might have come down. The worst of it passed in less than a minute, and when we went outside, our yard was flooded and there was literally 2 inches of hail on the ground. I've never experience anything like it.
