Im not going to personally attack your intelligence OP, but after two tours (total 4 years ) in Iraq I defend the search of a child in a hostile zone...

We have heard the tired justifications of Power many times over - security, freedom, democracy, reconstruction - these are words that are not alien to us; they haunt us everyday as we tread upon our earths.

100,000 lives, of children, women and men, in Iraq have been the latest price to be paid for the betterment of civilisation.

Innocence is no protection. We know.

here the police just taser our children if they get anywhere close to them.
would you prefer our military act over there as our police do here?

they do a helluva a lot worse than just shake them down..

i really dont get why the rest of the world thinks that our leaders treat us with anymore dignity and restraint than they do people in other countries.
i dare say in many cases we as americans are treated worse in everyday situations than we treat the masses in general in the countries our neocon rulers occupy..

i have no doubt that innocent women and children are killed in the name of collateral damage on a much greater scale there than here(although it happens everyday here),and for that there is no excuse but as far as everyday policing of iraqs citizens,i highly doubt they are treated any worse than a american citizen is treated when put in the same situation...

What I find strange is that while we shake down children, women and old folks both overseas and at home, private contractors have no oversight. These mercenaries are seen as police, but to whom are they accountable, and who regulates their arms and sales of arms?

Seems we are searching the wrong people.
