As has already been mentioned, it is only thanks to modern technology, in particular, the internet that porn has now become so widely available.

Although the church may make plain its supposed righteous objections to such imagry being so freely available, it should be noted that up until a few hundred years ago, when technology of the time introduced the printer, the main source of pornographic images were only to be found, of all places in the local churches. Just think of all those naked angels, scenes from the Garden of Eden, to say nothing of the extremely suspect imagry of the cherubims, clearly portraying naked children, in the finest of detail.

So much for the rules of "Thou Shalt Not Make Graven Images" etc.

It makes you wonder if these images were ever really intended for religious purposes, or simply as an excuse to display & view porn - I suppose it was one way of getting the congregation numbers up.
