Anybody do any gardening here? I don't really know what I'm doin but I love to play in the dirt. We've got serious hardpan clay soil here. I've been working in organic stuff for a few years and it's starting to get a little more productive. Also got a shitload of flowers goin' too. I know theres a garden forum but I just wondered if any of you all liked to get down in the dirt and mess around....yeah, yeah, not that, Gardens.
I used to. One thing that really bums me out about renting is that it's not really possible to have a garden. Last year we cobbled together a largish wood frame to hold a couple square meters of soil, hung it off the second floor, and grew tomatoes and beans. This year we're moving and have to abandon it all. Sucks.
I don't have much space, but i do some growin', mostly entheos and a few aromatics. Got a big San Pedro who seems he'll bloom again this year. But he's getting too big for my balcony so i'll prolly chop it to cuttings and plant most of them in my father's garden. Also have a smaller Peruvian Torch and a Peyote. A few P. Viridis, that are not doing that well cause my climate seems to be a tad too dry for them (and i seem to be a tad too neglective heh). An Aloe Vera. Lots of Peppermint for my Mojitos  And then some parsley, curriander and rosemary for cooking. That's about it
Osedax bummer about losing your container garden, maybe you can use some plastic buckets, I've grown tomatoes in buckets and they do OK. ehhmmm, interesting collection of Cacti and the P. Viridis is an admixture plant for Ayahuasca if I'm not mistaken. Good that you've got your fathers garden to use. Guess there aren't many US gardeners that read the forums, ah well, such is life.
