more men die of prostate cancer than women die from breast cancer.
yet in 1 hour i saw 5 breast cancer commercial and i only even *heard* the word "prostate" once.

over twice as much money is spent for breast cancer research

and women's this and women's that

girls when are you going to learn to support your men?

no one seems to care about the men anymore. how many of you girls can even cook? no wonder the guy goes to bed with you and then moves on!

when are men gonna learn to go to the freaking doctor and take care of this shit without being nagged to death?

i found mine a really hot doctor, she's gorgeous. he goes in for all his appointments now without me having to bug the hell out of him or drag him in by his ankles after beating him over the head with a rock.

it might be jimmy p is saying your an asshole. why don't you ask them if that is what they ment. as far as i know assholes are found among both genders.

as for prostate type stuff, i just had my yearly prostate exam back in december. do you check out you balls each month? we guys need to run an exam on our balls each month just, like the gals need to run an exam on their boobs each month. do you even know how to do that? as for cooking... i'm a guy and i cook. can you cook? i think everyone needs to learn about basic cooking. (both guys and gals.) most people don't have time to cook anymore. both genders are working and, alot of people are working more then one job. this is the 2000's not, the 1950's! it is a different world today. if you have a problem with the females of today... you can always go out there and find a 1950's june cleaver type of girlfriend.

Quick fact check. According to the ACS, for 2008, estimated prostate cancer deaths are 28,660 and breast is 40,930. Breast cancer deaths include 450 men.

yeah, only take the bits of information that serve your feminist stance.

    that's 1 year.

there was a year when prostate cancer deaths exceeded breast cancer deaths by about 10,000. thx.

also i suggest you take a larger sampling of years and tally them up then you'll see prostate cancer kills more men.

where do you get the stance that men are incapable of taking care of themselves? if they choose not to go to the doctor, check their balls, get their prostate examined... then it's their own choice. same as if we women choose not to check breasts, get pap smears, etc. and die as a result, it's our choice. it's not any one gender's job to take care of the other gender. its up to us all to take care of ourselves.

that said... way to go mamakcita... lol... i love your way of handling life! your husband must LOVE you for your methods of helping him take care of his health! :)

i love how blame is placed on men for lack of health care and programs for men.

i guess we should blame women for how women were "oppressed".

jeesh with the attitudes women have today it's no wonder men have sex with you and then get on with their lives!

Women have led the fight against breast cancer. Men can fight their own battles.
    :boxing:
Personally, I don't believe that there is a big lack of research on men's health, since most of the researchers are male. It's been a fight to get women included in studies of things like heart disease, which kills more women than breast cancer, and presents quite differently in women than men.

:troll: and on ignore for being so

"Women have led the fight against breast cancer. Men can fight their own battles."

that's not equality though, and is no excuse. in fact it's merely a cop-out, and a poor one at that.

it's never a fight to get women included. twice as much money is speant on healthcare/research for owmen than men. it's a fight? there's not a big lack of research on men's health? really? like how men have the pill 40 years later? riiight.

keep on keepin' on with the misinformation and lack of critical reflect.

umm I think you should just give up because you keep presenting the exact same "information" over and over again. And you contradicted yourself when you said that someone else was using info to their advantage by only referring to one year and then you did the exact same thing. And quite frankly, it sounds like you're just pulling this stuff outa your ass.

for the vast majority of medical history, it was primarily men's issues that were researched, for very practical reasons, obviously. however, i think this whole "breast cancer" hullaballoo is market driven, supply and demand politics. women are statistically more likely to go to the doctor, take their kids to the doctor and worry incessantly over their health. men are far less likely to go to the doctor until there's an obvious problem. i know getting dave to the doctor was well nigh impossible until he got his vasectomy and saw how hot his doctor was. now he's giddy to go in for a checkup.

and getting checked for prostate cancer is miserable. women have practically ignored the problem of colo-rectal cancer for the same reason. it's icky. but it's also a problem. but people LOVE the titties. men and women alike. and their marketers have done a BRILLIANT job of capitalising on the love of the mommy. very few people DON'T love their mommies.

i think there's a society-wide lingering image of the indomitable male/father type that lingers to this day. people in general forget that yes, daddies get sick, too, despite their stoicism.

then there should be more commercials encouraging men to get checked. this should not be taken as an excuse to be gynocentric in health-care.

there are LOADS of commercial, really. but they're not as sexy as breast cancer. that's market forces, sweets. women spend money on health care.
