Jim, Think about what you just asked. You already know what you need right? Sunlight, soil, etc..... I understand though, but only you know what your yard is like.
i just want to add that the weather is not an obstacle at all - i live in poland and i have planted them outside just at the beginning of summer - no problems whatsoever . mj is a very strong plant an as long as its not too cold it will be fine it may though result in lower levels of active compounds , but a greenhouse eliminates it . so good luck and go for it !!!
