I really can't believe what I'm reading. So when your kids come home from a party after railing lines of speed you'd rather them just say "Oh I was at the mall".

 

well i'm not planning to have kids, so i don't have to worry about that.

but seriously after YOU do shit like that do you just come home and tell your parents?

if i did, i'd be in rehab right now which is not where i want to spend my highschool years.

 

No I don't have to lie, zoom isn't exactly my drug of choice.

But ok, your right I dont tell my parents that I blow lines on the weekends, I just tell them I smoked a lot of dope. (I'm lucky)

 

if i could tell them the truth i would, it's not like i like lying to them but i also like smoking weed and doing other shit.

it's easier on them anyway not having to worry about shit like that because even if they did send me to rehab as soon as i got out i'd just be getting high again, so yeah saves a lot of stress and a hospital bill.

 

you said you were lucky cause you could tell your parents you smoke weed.
but sometimes kids aren't as lucky to have parents like you and me and they pretty much have to lie, or don't get high at all and be straight.

some people's parents probably would send their kids away to rehab if they found out they were out doing drugs all the time.. that's why lying is needed

i'm not saying it's the right thing to do, but to save yourself from rehab/forever being grounded, you're gonna have to.

 

i would just like to add that if a parent is paying their kid's cell phone bill, i think they have every right to look through the text messages. with that being said, i would still be busted and pissed if my mom looked through mine, but if you're being a bad little kid, be sneaky enough to erase incriminating messages.

and captain cannabis, do you tell your parents that you sell bud too?

it sucks that my phone holds every message ive ever typed. thats why i would just delete some.
I agree i did get off easy though. however the part i hate is that they will want me around all the time with them.
here in CO i have no friends and theyre talking about doing this and that and i tell them i hate that. theyre like "we're gonna have fun!". its nice,but i dont like it and i cant do this for 2 years. i get depressed.

this sucks, but i'm sure you'll be fine. i understand how things are i think. i've been busted by my parents before and that sucked. i'll give you the short version.

i was 16, and i shared a car with my older sister. i had it for the day, and it was at school with me. i had a Fossil tin packed with weed and shrooms. probably equal amounts.
turns out my sis left her mitts in the car and had to grab them. someone took her to my school and while grabbing them she noticed the tin, opened it and freaked.
so, 3:15 comes around and me and my gf go to my car to find the drugs. they're gone. i also notice that my sisters mitts are gone. i race home, and she's sitting there with the tin. she says either she'll tell my rents, or i have to tell them. obviously i tell them.
they took it ok, until they asked to see it. they thought it was nothing. then they found rolled joints, a big bag of weed, and maybe a quarter of shrooms. THEY FLIPPED. wanted to send me to rehab. lol. thing is they probably flipped cause they didn't even know what the shrooms were. hahaha.
anyway, after a little bit of arguing, everything was fine. kids gotta get in trouble, and pave their own path. just sorry to hear you're going through it. good luck.

 

my dad asked me if he were to get high on his own time if i wouldnt see anythig wrong with that.
i said no. hahaha.
and he said i needed help and later said i needed REHAB.

I was wondering what happened to you from all that shit. I'm glad it didn't turn out worse, because you did get off easy, compared to what could've happened. They could've sent you to rehab, without your consent, so count your blessings and delete your messages in the future:spliff:

 

Personally, never having been to rehab, I think it would be kind of entertaining. I only think that because I know I'm strong enough mentally to withstand whatever they'd try to convince of in there. If my mother seriously was considering it, I'd dare her to, telling her it would just put us farther apart but I wouldn't care.

So, you're dad thinks you are wrong for being okay with HIM smoking?

Your parents are nothing like my mother dude... you can sit them down and talk to them somehow and atleast change their thoughts a little bit.

 

i'd say your punishment is light which is good haha but not having your parents trust does suck. after being arrested i wasn't allowed to drive, i was and still am in therapy, and my parents are suspicious about everything i do. i wasn't going to be allowed to drive for a while or allowed out for a while but i did what mother's love said. i brooded and kept away from my parents for about 2 weeks and then i had a huge conversation with my mom and i basically said nothing the whole time and she goes tell me what will make you happy and i saw an opportunity so i said i want your trust. so after like 2 weeks i could drive again and go out and everything i had all the same privileges, but my parents are alot more suspicious they smell through my clothes and my mom "cleans" my room more often it sucks but im on probation right now so either way they wont find anything, but they still think im smoking, but fuck them. Basically everything sucks for a while but it will get better try reasoning with your parents and stay clean for a while and earn there trust...ive got about 5 more months to go just hang in there... thats what ive been telling myself...cant wait for october

 

I remember what i was going to say.
I told them it's not like im the kid who's going around parties with other people getting high and drunk and fucking girls and smoking cigarettes.
I'm simply stay at the house, smoke every so often, keep to myself, and do the things i normally would do.
it's rediculous. i think that was my best argument.
All my mom said was "How does our house not wreek of weed?"

i used to keep so many secrets from my parents that my mom used to joke and say that she'd get me pissed drunk one day, so i'll tell all. LOL sure.

Man after reading all this shit since I joined this forum about people having to hide their smoking from their parents, I feel lucky as a son of a bitch. My mom is cool with me smoking and she bought me a bag for my sixteenth birthday last year.

I can honestly say that if my mom were against me smoking I would surely not be living with her anymore.

 

my parents took my phone one ay and were able to read the messages i deleted, i have no idea how, but ive been caught for not deleting messages so now i delete everyone, but they were able to read them
