now, before evryone starts going "wrong thread! newb! i hate you!" i put this here because i'm posing a question to the stoners. i've done dxm a few times, but haven't in months. i'm thinkling about doing it again. my question is, can dxm honestly cause brain damage and/or other damage by itself, without other drugs involved? if you can back yourself up with an information source, that would be great.

thanks a lot, and peace =]

Yes, it can, especially with higher doses, but if you do it responsibly and informed, you should be fine.

Dextroverse.org is a great, informative site about dex.

It does. Check Erowid and Wikipedia too. Like all dissociatives. Look up Onley's lesions. I read somewhere it takes 720mg+ to cause brain damage though. Best to do your own research.

IME larger doses leaves my brain feeling fried for at least a day, I certaintly wouldn't do it to often.

yes it does. i hate to say it but any drug with long term abuse will give you brain damage. sometimes you only need to to it once to realize you already did damage. i have experminted with DXM and corciden (spelling) several times. like any drug it has effects.

there is evidence it MAY lead to olney's lesions. it is not known for sure.

anecdotal, nonscientific evidence exhibited in heavy, frequent and/or long term users would definitely suggest DXM abuse may very well damage the brain. but then, many people would say the same about cannabis, yet science has told us time and again cannabis does not cause any brain damage.

    ^meh. never had that problem.

sounds like i'd need to take a fucking lot to do any serious damage, i'm usually at just around 300 mg's or so.

Yeah it's usually only 1 or 2 days after the trip that I can't cum. Lol. That's a synthetic opiate for ya. It has a lot of opiate side effects. I've learned to beat the constipation quite easily with brainpower. When I first started I couldn't pee for over a day.

It was created as a synthetic opiate to replace codeine in OTC cough medicine.

    It was synthesized from Levorphanol.
