Fabric Softener infused weed

I've had an unfortunate turn of events this weekend. I purchased a fair sized quantity of bubble gum weed. When the dealer handed it to me, the beautiful buds were sealed in double ziplock bags. In between the pot and the other bag were 2 sheets of strong smelling fabric softener. When i asked him what the deal was with the fabric softener, he replied that it helps to mask the smell of the potent skunky smelling pot. At the time i thought it was a pretty novel idea, but once i brought my purchase home and pulled the bag of buds out of the fabric softener bag, I found that the buds had a slight scent of the fabric softener. At first this didnt seem like such a big deal, as i figured since the pot didnt come in direct contact with the fabric softener sheets, that it shouldn't have an effect on the weed itself. Upon smoking the weed though, i have noticed that not only do the buds still smell of the fabric softener, but it also slightly tastes like it! Now this freaked me out. We have all heard of how toxic and chemical filled these type of fabric softener sheets can be... Does anyone know if i should be worried about this? Is there anyone that has come across a similar issue? Is there any kind of solution to the problem?

idk man that sucks though... I dont think it will hurt you. Maybe next time ask him if he wouldnt put any fabric softener in the bag just the double bag will be fine. Or not doubled at all. Who gives a shit if it smells like weed you cant getin trouble for smelling like a pine tree lol.

 

good idea in theory. I doubt you'll expirience any negative sideffects from the fabric softner, although extremely chemical filled the bud never came into contact with it so I would say your alright, enjoy your bubble gum AND the fresh scent of clean clothes :]

Someone on another forum suggested putting some orange/lemon peels in the bag to mask the smell/taste. Im going to give this a try. lol smoking420buddha, i definitely agree. Flush the sack? What are you crazy? Its still bubble gum weed, fresh scent or not lol

 

I think snuggle skeeted in your weed and your dealer put the dryer sheet in there as a cover

 

Just don't leave the peels in the too long, because the buds will become too moist. The orange/lemon peels are typically used to add moisture to buds that are too dry.

i smoked some pot once that had been smuggled in in some mouthwash apparently.

this is what i was told....

the buds would get you high, but they had an unsettlingly toxic looking blue-green tint to them, they smelled like menthol, the smoke felt wierd in the lungs, and it tasted....well....like smoking pot and mouthwash.

it was pretty nasty.

 

it might taste nasty, but i'd at least keep smoking it..

now ever time I smell a sheet of softener/some fresh clothes my mind thinks weed again
