Anyone here who plays Aoc? I will probably grab it from the shelfs next month, it seems to be a great mmorpg wich goes back to the roots of roleplaying. With alot of lore and hardcore elements. A Very dynamic multi-directional hack & slash combat system with collision detection , and not to forget, amazing world design and graphics . If anyone here plays it and want to share his/her opinion about it or just want to discus it, go ahead please . I'm gonna wait and see if it really going to be that great, I think it is, but I lost a lot of money switching to lotro which wasn't that great. I hope it will run on my comp

Mate just got it, not the best MMO ever, but only just came out. Combat's brilliant, but the areas seem a bit linear (just from the first few Agil-whatsit areas and town) .
it's definately no WoW Killer, but i'm gonna give it a shot and play enough to get a real grasp on the game for me MMORPG's died when they released the 3rd expansion for Everquest, as soon as these games starting using "instances" everything got gay, and none of the developers wanted to let one or 2 powerfull guilds controll everything everyone has to have a "fair chance" as for Conan, the main thing that pisses me off so far is the chat box, it's very hard to have good conversations as things move so fast
All things considered, it had an impressive launch. The combat system is excellent. I agree that the chat box can be frustrating. What level are you guys?
Got a 19 barbarian right now. I think that this game def has some potentional, especially in the area of pvp. however, i'm a bit dissappionted to see whining and flaming kids now and then, i guess all the kids who got bored of wow jumped over to AoC.. *dreams about the time when pc gaming wasn't ment for low-brainers* . playing on a rp-pvp server, i hoped for some good roleplaying, but most kids today don't seem to know the true meaning of roleplaying. One of them said :" I'm a assasin, i'm roleplaying a mass murderer so i'm pvp-killing everyone". if you get what i mean.. -_-.
I hear you. Sadly, games like this need a large player base to survive. Some members of the community are inevitably going to be immature. Surround yourself with good peope and do your best to ignore the rest. I have a lvl 19 Guardian. Going s/s, so my DPS is a little low. Other than that, I'm really enjoying it. What do you think of Barbarians?
I find it enjoyfull to play with my barbarian, they have high dps and can take some damage. Founded a guild today on aquilonia (eu rp-pvp server) and we have some nice roleplayers in it, for example, there is this priest of mitras and a tempest of set, and they are like making these deep discussions all the time about who is the true god. If anyone is intrested, our guild name is Tuatha de Morrigan (People of Morrigan).
I'd like to believe it is more Ultima than WoW... before i commit. And if i do i DO. Pellinore digital challah ded head what do you thnk now you have playtime under belt? lol pellinor/digital.. what servers u on? damn just remembered lag... have 20mbps down/1 up but speed in secondary to connection time/nodes.will i be able to play on your servers. Crom So combat is a mix of die by the sword and 1st/3rd person oblivion ,, maybe 1/2 way between...im looking at front page for AoC now. reading 'about'

I'm playing on a europian server, aquilonia (rp-pvp), my character is level 26 now. The game is fun, but it's lacks some content atm (they are working on it). But the game is great for roleplaying, and if you are nostalgic about DaoC (refering to the pvp) i bet AoC is something for you.
