i think god is precisely what no one thinks god is, even myself. and i try to avoid typecasting it either. not that it HAS to be paradoxical either. not that it HAS to be anything. but something big, friendly and invisible sure gives good hugs. as do a lot of little friendly and invissible somethings as well. as always, the odds DO seem to favor its NOT resembling what ANYone thinks they know about it. =^^= .../\...
I believe that God is the totality of everything. But that's just for purposes of having coherent conversations on the subject. If you actually saw God in its entirety no word would suffice to explain. And plus, as a human, you can't see God in its entirety, so human language is useless. God is better defined through feelings and as a sensation of euphoria. Is my theory.
energy, nature, maybe a higher consciousness that we can not fathom. I like the thought of returning to that higher consciousness when this life is over. individuality and experiences would be lost, so I would be unable to contemplate the massive shift in existance, and at the same time I would be very safe and comfortable. kind of like coming home, or maybe waking up from a dream.
god is a big invissible friend, who may or may not be one or more sentient awairnessess, which, reguardless of its internal and unknowable nature, has choosen every revealer of organized belief, the same god or 'gods', acting as a single voice, which every revealer of organized belief has channelled, even those, like buddha, whome it instructed not to mention a god, or even the existence of a god, at all. lau tsu had the right idea, that whatever we think we know about it, we're bullshitting ourselves. but note, he didn't claim that no such thing could exist or would have not to. buddha, of course, never raised the subject at all, nor needed to. the other thing that's important to note, i think anyway, is that whatever god is or are, or maybe, it or they, have left certain very important things entirely up to us, and the conditions we create directly, not by how it or they feel about our behaivour, but BY our actions themselves. cheif among these being the very kind of world we all have to live in, itself. observably that is the case of this world, and may, may even be likely to, apply to at least some extent, to whatever experiences of existence may occur, subsiquent to our existence in this one. =^^= .../\...
I dont think there is an incorrect view of God, or if there is, I'm certainly not in a position to say it is.
i dont think anything about his "self"...i can only think about his properties...because only god can know himself, feel himself, understand himself definitely and thoroughly. mankind can only have little knowledge of him, because mankind is not god but creature. how can a creature completely know how the creator is. so i can only know him as far as my ability goes...looking at the universe and myself i can say he knows everything. he even knows the numbers of cells in my brain. he knows how many molecules are there in the universe. he knows what happened and what will happen. so i can say he is the most knowing one... i see creatures love eachother.mothers love children. men love women. animals care about their mates and children...from this, i know god must love much more than all the creatures.he created love so he is the source of love... i see there is hatred and anger. so god must have hatred and anger but he hates the evil things and satan...i see that there is life.so i understand that he gives life. i see that there is death. so he kills.etc etc...thus i can count 99 properties of god, and there fore god has 99 names...when someone realizes all these, then that is as far as we can know of god...nothing more ;for we are created and very limited, almost nothing when compared to god.and this is the satisfaction...
