"Love is real, real is love. Love is feeling , feeling love. Love is wanting to be loved. Love is free, free is love Love is living, living love Love is needed to be loved".
I love John Lennon! i just finished reading his book "skywriting by word of mouth" and its just as good as his music...or close, anyway. "The foreseeable future looked terrifying, so I took to waking backwards"
some people try to put him down because he was an angry young man in his youth... but look at what he did and how he grew around the time he met Yoko Ono. Regardless of what others say, he loved her and she loves him. She had such a positive, profound influence on him. John was one of the greatest, most influencial artists and peace activists of his time, or perhaps of all time.
I've gotta say i loved it when he said "Would those of you in the cheaper seats clap your hands? And the rest of you, if you'll just rattle your jewelry." not as a great motivation just a brilliantly cynical observation of materialistic wealth. My favourite beatle is George but he's just my personal favourite, I'm not about to argue that he was the best beatles because it took four beatles to make their true greatness. "As long as you hate, there will be people to hate." - George. very accurate and true it think, don't be a hater!
I adore John lennon music, his music is always in my head,he was a genious, and he was the heart of yhe beatles.I love them.
John loved Yoko. That's what matters. Because of her his art and music flourished. He simply grew out of The Beatles.
Johns message is so important! If everyone on the earth decided to have peace rather then killing for power, this world would be a paradise of love. Not just a small group can do it, it has to take everyone. One day everyone will shout as one, PEACE!!!
Ahh, I love John Lennon..I must say...while together is what made them quite amazing...his lyrics..his influence was powerful, truly amazing. I'd like to live by his words...
John Lennon is one of my biggest inspirations. His music and his words are such eye-openers to the problems in this world, and what we need to do to fix them. Without his music, I certainly wouldn't have as much direction in life. A few years ago, while I was working a booth at an organic festival, two older men spotted my John Lennon t-shirt and approached me to inform me, "You're too young to remember John Lennon!" I told them, "True...but I'm not too young to appreciate his music." So they went on to tell me about a concert of his that they had gone to back in the day...and I must say, I was quite jealous. "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."
John Lennon is one of my favorite musicians of all time. i loved him in the betales, but just as much on his own, where he seemed to find his true identity. people often give him a bad rap because he was quite bitter and harsh during his teen years, but almost everyone he loved died before he was twenty! he was a revolutionary musician who was killed by the government because he was getting his message across to well. "all we are saying, is give peace a chance"
"You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope some day you'll join us, and the world will be as one." I still remember the first time I went to John's memorial in Central park. There was a group of hippies there and when they saw me they said I was John reincarnated. That is the day I officially became a hippy. Don't ask me why lol it just stuck with me man
My favorite Lennon lyrics.... In My Life There are places I'll remember All my life though some have changed Some forever not for better Some have gone and some remain All these places have their moments With lovers and friends I still can recall Some are dead and some are living In my life I've loved them all But of all these friends and lovers There is no one compares with you And these memories lose their meaning When I think of love as something new Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life I love you more Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life I love you more In my life I love you more So beautiful....it's my song to my missus, Littlewing Zen
I really like Johns music to,in fact he is an inspirational being,& as farabovetheclouds so rightly said, Johns music & Lyrics are just as relevent today as when they were writen in the 60s & 70s,& contain timeless wisdom. Peace & Love
