fleas

    do any of you guys know a safe and natural way to get rid of fleas without using all these expensive and dangerous medications? my cats and ferret have fleas and the poor little guys need to get rid of them.

    If you have time you could pick the fleas and their eggs off, make sure you have water to drown the little pests in. Or you could try giving your pets regular baths. Other than that I have no idea. Sorry.

    Garlic in their food is supposed to help, for cats anyway not sure about ferrets.

    Try a natural food store.There's an herbal product that you dilute & spray on the affected critter.I can't recall the name....

    when I lived in the midwest and the winters were cold enough to kill a lot of bugs, all we did to keep fleas down was to brew some strong pennyroyal tea and use a spray bottle to mist our pets. It seemed to work pretty well. But, now I live in FL and it never gets cold enough to eliminate any of the insect population and I can't seem to keep my pets flea-free. I have also heard that feeding your pets brewer's yeast will help, but my dog won't eat it, even if I mix it in his food.
