oh, i know, but he was pretty easy for me to ingore once he got people talking. the responses he got were pretty damned good. we had a kid like that in the third grade. we tolerated him because he was a little touched.

Indeed. I've found that those with the least to say are the ones who demand that they've been "silenced". The rest just get on with it, and usually they don't draw the attention of the mods anywhere near as much as those who just want to shout and cajole rather than communicate anything. (Coincidentally, they also usually don't mind repeating themselves, but hey, that's another issue altogether).

It's pretty hard to be "silenced" on a message board, and certainly FedUp hasn't been; even if his threads are locked, his posts are still clearly visible to anyone who is fascinated by the subject of Hitler's Christianity, how much of a Christian Hitler was, and how Christians are like Hitler. Anyone who honestly thinks they were locked because they were just too much TRUTH for the Christians to take can't have read enough of them.

 

I ment Fedup is being crucified by the people hes posting his stuff to by trying to open the eyes of his followers... they just got tired of hearing the same thing over and over again..

Kinda. Not sure that he's really doing anything more than preaching to the converted though. It's kinda lame when he resorts to claiming that he "gets people thinking", as if the only way to do that is to goad them, slate their religion and argue less logically than a drunken five year old.

I agree that TROLLS, actual TROLLS should be dealt with. People who spam and are just outright annoying. But FedUp did raise some good points, and overall I'm a firm believer that if you don't like what someone wrote, you're CHOOSING to let it bother you... If its really so terrible click "File", then "Exit".

Because apparently some people were using the forum to "recruit" Christians (not quite sure what's wrong with that, given that it's apparently perfectly acceptable for another user to use it to "cure" Christianity, however unsuccessfully). I never saw it, so maybe it was incredibly crafty, and I don't know why particularly it's a problem for people who belong to a religion to encourage others to do so, nor do I get why stopping people from quoting the Bible will necessarily achieve that. But it doesn't seem like crediting the average user with much freewill or intelligence.

I'm not sure how heavily the rule is enforced, but lack of enforcement doesn't make it any less of an inequity far as I can see. If the mods can't tell the difference between evangelism and just referring to a text, I don't really get why they're mods.

Only if we consider FedUp to be one of "our people". He's never shown any evidence of believing himself to be "one of us".

Well, he always used to insist that he was "only giving as good as he got", so I guess he might've claimed he was one of us too. Because he's a bullshit merchant.

Ass-u-me-ing is a lot of what has happened here. Didn't take this thread long at all to take on a rampant edge of assuming.

No one ruined your buzz, cept you. If one doesn't like something outside their own perception of a thing, its the one not liking that is doing the not liking, not the thing not liked, be it an object or a person. So if you don't like what's going on and your buzz got ruined, then the only one who ruined it is the one not liking what is going on, not the event itself.

FedUpAmerican is free to post what he wants. No one is stopping that, so there is NO suppression of "Free Speech". He's just not going to get any responses to perpetuate his flavor of hatred, and that is exactly what he is trying to do ... feed off everyone's hatred, either for the Christian religion, or for the people who practice Christianity, even the hatred from those who hate anyone who practices Christianity.

I closed his thread. And I will continue closing this threads or anyone elses who wants to do nothing but revel in hatred. Hatred is not Hip. FedUpAmerican always posted with the intent to insult and provoke. Not provoke intelligent discussion. His posts were repeatedly directed, with hostility at a particular person (or more), and especially directed at a group of people. He constantly trolls the Christian forum, and constantly posts, with regularity arguments if anyone's views opposed his. And, no matter how many times he posted Reported Posts that people were Personally Attacking him, it was because he repeatedly Personally Attacked others. He has also been following one user here that I personally know of and disrupted that persons threads ... this constitutes Stalking and Trolling ("Any individual who chronically trolls, who regularly posts arguments, flames or personal attacks for no other purpose than to annoy someone or disrupt a discussion will be banned.")

Oops ... looks like it says "will be banned" to me.

So he's free to post whatever he wants in order to satisfy the "Please note:" stipulation, but the hate-mongering stops.

So if he says he hasn't been breaking any of the Forum Guidelines ... of course he has. He's been Stalking a user and posting in threads of the one he was stalking with no other purpose but to argue and annoy, and to disrupt the discussion of the thread.

This is Hip, ehh? Breaking the Forum Guidelines is hip? Lying to propogate ones own personal agenda of Hatred is hip?

And no, Ottoman, he is not the winner here. No one who propogates and perpetuates hatred is a winner just a major looser.

I never banned FedUpAmerican. And it used to be that when people started talking about people who were banned as much as you people do, they would get banned themselves.

No buzz of mine has ever been ruined by Fedup. So, I hope your not trying to put me on the spot. Fact Ive hardly ever responded to any of fedup threads, I dont have to explain myself to you. If you look in my profile youll see, Im in a tree and Im meditating.
As a cool cat I often speak to the birds.. They always say "this shit is for the birds". and I pay it no mind. Like many of Fedups' posts..
