    Think about this one for a minute;

    The following statement is completely true!!

    The preceding statement is completely false!!

    What?!?! What to believe!!

    There was an ancient Egyptian Poet, Philitas of Cos who supposedly died from insomnia after just sitting around thinking about this paradox and wasted away. What a wierdo, eh?

    thats just like asking 'which came first, the chicken or, the egg.' the egg of course. the egg existed even before there were chickens. eskimo 101 is correct on this point. try something harder like the arugment from evil. that one is a real good mind fucker!

    My answer is that what makes something essentially true is that it exists. Since both sentences exist, they are both automatically true, regardless of what they say.

    So there is no paradox: Both sentences are true. Just because something is true doesn't necessarily mean that it has to make any sense or carry any meaning outside of its own existence. The sentences are merely objects; they carry no deeper meaning than one's experience of them.

    Hmmmm.

    If the following statement is true and the preceeding statement is false then'

    It is true that the preceeding statement is false.

    right, but that brings into question the validity of the following statement.

    in which case, now we dont know for certain if it is true or not.

    It's a circle.

    Neither are true, it's a perfect parodox that goes full circle.

    No, it's not the second one, like the other guy said, it's just a paradox.

    Before you read this just remember i tell you everythin that is really nothing and nothing that is really everything. Dont get confused by what im sayin rather stop N listen to hear what im not saying bcuz if u dont understand my silence u wont understand my words.
