Well I'm hardly claiming to have read it cover to cover. But the general principle of "you worshipped someone else, you're bad, die motherfucker die!" reminds me of an old boyfriend from way back. Meh, I thought it was pretty obvious I wasn't referring to the Bible in that instance. But it was, I regret to say now, only a bit of fun.
Not sure I understand the question or the context of the question, but, no ... I have nothing to hide. Why should I hide behind a false name. Why should I lie to hide myself? DarrellKitchen is my name, however, OlderWaterBrother is not yours and therefore a lie because you are trying to use it as something to hide behind (as well as anyone else who uses a pseudonym). No offence intended. HTML:
It's almost as if lies should be taken in relation to their context, rather than just as lies and lies and lies through and through. Sometimes "the truth" is the cruelest form of deceit.
Re my last post in this thread: Remember this? Clinton: "lied to the nation" about his affair with Monica Lewinsky George Bush: "lied to the nation" about a nation possessive a defensive capability which justified going to war with them. Bush's lie death toll: fuck knows. A lot. Clinton's lie death toll: none. The reason for the difference? Clinton was smart, Bush was dumb. The fact that his lie affected virtually no-one didn't change the fact that Clinton definitely lied; we know this because he was smart. Bush... we don't know. He might have lied, he might just be a retard, he might be a lying retard... But we're not sure. Clinton was smart so we knew he was lying, Bush was dumb, so we gave him the benefit of a doubt. Result: hundreds of thousands dead. OK, wandering off topic here, but it seems that we'll go after someone who has been caught red-handed far more than after someone over whose crime there is some ambiguity (even if it's only ambiguity between one crime and another crime!), regardless of the scale of their transgression. Someone who is caught stealing goes to jail, someone who probably murdered someone but gets off on a technicality walks away scot free.
