btw, i was only pointing out the worries, not the realities. grown ups tend to do VERY WELL. our parents are a lot smarter and well adjusted than we want to give them credit for.

 

look at me and dave. ten years now and only one real fight. yeah, we argue a lot over fun stuff, but we've only had one fight. we're the best of friends, closer than ever and totally adore each other and think "hot DAMN, considering where we came from, holy crap, we did good." then we spend the rest of the time figuring out how to raise our daughters to do so well. all in all, life goes on. happiness can be found anywhere when you're looking for it.

My parents split up like 6 months ago, and like a month ago got back together. Selfishly, i enjoyed life more when they were split.

 

pff, my parents split when i was 2 as well. apparently i would only eat stuff i could feed myself for about a month, so mostly cheese pickles and crackres. beyond that and a minor issue with being afraid of being abandoned, im fine. id rather my parents divorced than have had to live in a house with constant fighitng, yelling, and general negativity

Cate, my mom and stepdad split when i was 18. it was pretty shitty, and i heard some things i probably shouldnt have had to (mostly fights and namecalling) but in the end it was better for them. i moved back in with mama so she didnt have to be alone (theyd lived on an acreage, she moved into the city and he kept the acreage)... in the end theyre both WAAAAY happier and way more stable people now, nearly 4 years later

 

Sounds like a total suck fest.

I imagine it is going to be hard for everyone involved.
