I think with the terrible state that the world is in, something is going to have to happen... something big.... a revolution. What will the revolution be like? Violent? or peaceful? Who will "win"? What will the new world be like? Like I said, something big is going to have to happen for anything to change. Your thoughts?
When you bomb a restaurant/lounge frequented by members of the political and bourgeois class make sure to hide behind a lampost. In court, when the judge says you've been seen hiding behind a lampost, explain to him or her that a lampost is round. "Could you explain, your honor, where behind a lampost would be."
Comrades! Counterrevolutionaries are instilled among us, whom today are liberators and tomorrow will be oppressors. They must be eliminated forthwith. The revolution is no theory.
the terrible state the world is in? pick up a history book. the horrors of today are no worse than the horrors of any other time period. there's more potential for destruction, sure, but the world has never been a utopia. yes, things will change, everything's always changing, and I hope that things start to change for the better. I don't think there will be a revolution per se, and I don't think anyone can "win", and I doubt the "new world" will be much different. we can only hope that people become more compassionate towards others, and we grow more peaceful. that is quite hopeful, though.
it's strange how, to most people, the concept of a peaceful world is so far out there you'd have to be a lunatic/hippie/little kid/on LSD to believe it could happen. how fucked up is our species when the very notion of peaceful, harmonious co-existance and cooperation is the pinnacle of naivety?
The world is at a great state socially. Never has the world seen more personal freedom and human rights. The last damn thing we need is a revolution. History will teach you that most revolutions do not bring much good and only make the people suffer so much more.
So funny, I keep hearing that in real life and on here in the last week, and it STICKS out to me. I love it. Its so fantastic.
Yeah... people tend to see the bad side of things... no matter how good they are. Fuck revolutions. Show me one revolution that did any good. Even the over glorified American and French revolutions led to a whole lot of murder and tyranny. This system is designed to be changed from within, go on and change it if you feel like something is wrong with it. You have the personal freedom to be the change that you want to be seen, as trite as that sounds. I don't see why you'd want a revolution when you can practically do whatever the fuck that you want within the privacy of your own home and at many times in public. People here have it way too good. Too much freedom to know what to do with it. The lack of culture and heroes that this freedom brings drives people to depression and frustration. One could make a stronger argument for a limitation of personal freedom than for an expansion of such.
Yeah... the ironic thing is that they refer to themselves as "hippies", "socialists" and "free thinkers".
True. I mean I love violence, but only on tv. I would never dream of physically harming anyone for any reason. Mentally, however, now that is just plain fun
Yes, mentally harming people is one of life's greatest joys. I take out my physical anger by breaking things with a sledgehammer while drunk in my friends' backyard and then setting them on fire.
Oh Im feeling that, I wish I had a sledgehammer. I used to set things on fire meself, like Bibles and Qu'rans
Yeah, we've set out share of Bibles on fire. They give those away for free at the Salvation Army. Ain't nothin' like drinking PBR and burning Bibles on a lazy afternoon. We stole the sledgehammer from a construction site. One of the best decisions of my life.
That is a damn good descision. I was thinking of getting a machete one of these days and chopping up some new paths to the local bar for when I get mad. Think about it! Chopping and slicing things, only to end up at a place where Whiskey flows like a river, then you got the whole way back
